Oh wow! I didn’t know they did that. So much to learn still, for me.Is that 4 runs now in January? She'll be posted in the AKC Fast Cat by breed this year!
Get ready for more crazy... I never knew a dog that got calmer with more runs.![]()
I believe runs in January get posted on/by February 15th.They average the 3 fastest runs as they are turned in. Nothing listed for 2026 yet, I'm sure it takes a while. Here's the Dobermans times for 2025
Feeling the addiction of ribbons yet?Ran 2 more today. Absolute lunatic when we arrived and only one other Doberman who was well behaved. It was much easier to blend in at the last race, 11 Dobermans there lol.
Rained all night so the grounds were soft. Maybe that’s why she was a little slower, both runs the same time!
Very glad we went and she’s still wound up!
Photo is posting upside down too, idk why.

You answered my question as to what the rosettes are, thank you! I saw them today and my husband and I didn’t know what they for.In a few more runs she’ll get her BCAT title, then you’ll get a rosette!

An example of the rosettes the group I typically do events with gives. Each event they hold is themed and the rosettes reflect that. View attachment 158381
LOOKY, Y'ALL - WE JUST TRAPPED ANOTHER ONE!Worth it to get PAL just to come play!

I have found many clubs starting out have to be a bit conservative, but as you grow, the rosettes start getting a little fancier. I almost fell over at Olive's reserve BIS ribbon last fall since they never used to be anywhere near that big or beautiful, but the club is well established now so they've tried to improve everything.I started to get a little picky at some point lol I'm not sure I ever specifically picked or avoided an agility, barn hunt, or Fast CAT trial based on their ribbons but I did feel a little extra sense of urgency to get titled at a particular trial if they had exceptional ribbons
I nearly did, too, to be honest. It was gorgeous!I almost fell over at Olive's reserve BIS ribbon last fall
That's what I've been doing with the flat ribbons the past few years too since I really don't display them and it does help the club out. If they're unique I keep them but otherwise they all start looking the same.I've seen people at Scent Work get a photo with their ribbons and then hand them back to the trial secretary.
I’ve done 6 matches now at 3 different clubs (all 1 year apart at the annual shows). The 2nd and 3rd ribbons were bigger this year compared to the previous one. Last year they were the size of the first flat ribbon.
