In this particular case it would be Ravenbird that really helped me out with her training tips and advice...
I started picking Agatha up at least once per day (and loving on her whilst I had her picked up) not long after reading that. Then moved up to picking her up and walking around a little bit before putting her down...
It worked out pretty much as she described as far as my girl learning to tolerate it with no problems. (I think she 'likes it' but...)
A couple of days ago I had the door open moving stuff from one place to the other and Agatha (not being on her tether) slipped outside. Blew off the come commands but did eventually respond to the 'inside' command and get her butt back inside.
I felt a lot more confident during that unauthorized off leash event that if I could get close enough to touch her that I would be able to pick her up and walk back inside the shop with zero issues from her. I knew I could pick her up and walk with her if I needed to because I followed that advice!

You can start teaching her now.I had to teach Asha how to be carried when I wanted to do the RH test. She wasn't pretty about it at all, but after working on it and practicing it she would tolerate it without struggling. We had to pick her up from a short table, walk 10 feet hand her over to another person and the walk another 10 feet and that person put her down on the ground. Anyway I think I wrote about it on here but it was 2 or 3 years ago.
