Ripley was 60 exact on 3/18 but I forgot to add it here. We had her weighed again when we went to pick something up. Good to see these girls are about right on the same growth! How much does Phoebe eat? I'm surprised by how little Ripley needs to stay just right, though she probably gets a fair amount of calories through training the rest of the day and you know every day is training day.Phoebe

They have been very close to each other since they came home. Phoebe gets one cup in the morning and one cup in the evening with a spoonful of canned food on top.Good to see these girls are about right on the same growth! How much does Phoebe eat?
Wow! Same with Ripley. One cup morning and night. I thought she was going to eat way more than Java. She ate a bit more as a puppy but been on two cups since about 6 months. They have been very close to each other since they came home. I guess I have to take that back. We were trying to figure out how much food to send with Phoebe at the trainer and I said one cup in the morning and one in the evening. Hubby said "what? you told me a cup and a half so that's what I've been giving her in the morning". Oops I forgot to tell him that I cut her back again. LOLSame with Ripley. We haven't weighed Phoebe for a while but I'm guessing that's about what she is too and I bet that's going to be her average. That's pretty much where Della hovered, give or take and I'm happy with that for a female. Finally have a new weight on her!
Do you have any pictures?? I'm trying to imagine a 100lb puppy...!King Solomon is a bit bigger than other Doberman.
He was 28 lbs at 12 weeks. 38 pounds at 4 months. 56 pounds at 5 months, 74 pounds at 6 months. 95 pounds at 7 months. We weigh him next week at 8 months, but he is well over 100 pounds.

King Solomon weighed in today at 102 pounds on his 8 month birthday! We are thinking to let him eat and grow till he is over a year old, then consider thinning him down. This was taken tonight. He will turn 8 months old next week and we will get a weight on him then from the Vet and let you know. He is a handsome boy, right?View attachment 123182View attachment 123183
Growing puppies benefit from being on the thin side, they should never carry extra weight. Since he is already extremely over sized for the breed it would be healthiest for him to be as slim as possible his entire life. He's a handsome pup, but being extra large size sets him up for health problems down the road.
