[Oh Little Oji]

I think last time I weighed in here Oji had dropped to 69.5 lbs. or so at 3 years and maybe 5 months from a former high of about 78 lbs. (can it be he was so close to my coveted 80?)

Though I have had him on a cheaper food for about 4 big bags worth, I have since upped his feed back up to 5 cups from 4. I've also begun probiotics about 2.5 weeks ago. I've also begun the transition back to TOTW High Prairie.

Today, at 3 yr., 6 mo., 3 wk., and looking less overly-skinny, he weighed in at 71.2 lbs.

Awwe thanks!! They blow my mind. Tank is so incredibly patient and Remy is so soft-mouthed and has such awareness of his place that it just works! Poor Tank though... the Elder abuse he takes at the paw and mouth of that little upstart is obscene!
I take my last height measurement/growth spurt (last week, I didn’t bother re-measuring this week) with a grain of salt.. he has been dealing with Pano for the last couple months and though he’ll stand for me during measurement... he may have been on his tippy paws last week! When this bout settles down I’ll re-check his height but it’s likely somewhere between 28.5-29.5.
Weight-wise he is slender for sure, no bones showing but he also hasn’t been building muscle either due to inactivity. Since his pano hit we’ve been limiting him. (Also helps because it’s winter). This last week it’s been his front Left and rear Right that is affected. Other than limping, you’d never know it bothers him! Hope he gets over it by spring!!!

Hard to say. He's quite tall, yet a one year, he's not all that heavy. Hard to say if he is not that heavy due to a narrow build (like my boy) or if he is just filling out more slowly than some. Pictures could tell us

Thanks for the pics, @Hayden Are you measuring his height where the neck meets the shoulders? Basically, in that side pic I'd measure just at the bottom of that roll of skin that is present a bit lower than the collar. Maybe you already know this.

He does look leggy. I see he is neutered, right? This can affect growth.

His parents were on the larger side of dobes, so I'm thinking he's just a slow grower. But looking at Remy's progress has me like

To give my opinion to your question. He's 70 lbs. now at 1 year? I'd say he may be a bit narrow in the shoulders (my Oji's main problem) and his chest has not really dropped yet. I like the sturdiness to his neck (Oji's got that too). Of course considering he will be in good body condition, I could see him topping out at 85 or so. If he is in fact 1.5 or 2 inches over the typical full-height male, he could hit a higher weight, topping 90. That's just this guy's opinion and guess.

Hey I'm 65 and shapeless so what ever happens to Grace is good by me....as long as she doesn't put me on Jenny Craig!

That's what I was thinking but I'd be hard pressed seeing him gain that weight over another year or so. It feels like after 8 months his growth slowed a lot... idk. He eats 6 cups a day of TOTW so could I throw some ground beef/venison in there or is that too much protein?
