Doberman puppy owners - track your weight gain here

That's what I was thinking but I'd be hard pressed seeing him gain that weight over another year or so. It feels like after 8 months his growth slowed a lot... idk. He eats 6 cups a day of TOTW so could I throw some ground beef/venison in there or is that too much protein?
Males mature slowly. Some keep filling out into the third year, even until about four. Crazy as this may be about 1/2 their life.

My guy was full height by 10 months. He doesn't seem to have gotten taller since then and he's 19 months now. He's still narrow in the chest too. I'm expecting him to fill out some more as well. Some pics he'll look like a little boy, others he'll look imposing. But being boys, they'll be goofballs forever haha.

11 weeks 17.6lbs
12 weeks 21.2 lbs
13 weeks 23.2 lbs

Does she seem small, I'm feeding her 3 cups a day of 4health grain free puppy, mixed with about half a can of wet grain free food and several tablespoons of chicken bone broth. She seems skinny to me. I can just see her hip bones when viewed from above. She tested negative for worms, and is otherwise healthy and energetic. Her parents were of average standard size. *her favorite place to sleep is the step and she is outgrowing it

That is so cute!

She looks fine, really; but I could imagine her a bit less thin. One thing I've deduced with my current guy is that the angle of his pelvis makes it so that his hip bones are visible often, even during one of the rare occasions I've had him a bit better filled-out. Maybe you can take a look at the angle of her pelvis.

I know many people feed Doberman pups a lot more than the recommended amounts on the food bags. I had Oji on 5 and 6 cups of food. Actually, I'm on a campaign to get him less unhealthily skinny so he's back up to 5 cups again.

My Oji is over 3 1/2 years of age now by the way. You can see my latest entry on him from a few days ago in this thread.

What is the protein and fat content of your food? What are the first few ingredients? Maybe there is a better food out there for her?

It is almost identical to TOTW, which was my first choice , but the breeder had her on the 4Health brand and it was so similar that I felt OK about it. I am only feeding her the recommended amount, maybe I should increase? She doesn't seem hungry. It takes her quite a while to finish eating. Sometimes she leaves some in the bowl and then goes back after 10 minutes to finish.

She looks fine to me and when the have growth spurts they can go from lanky looking to plump looking so I adjust their food accordingly according to their body condition and not what the dog food bag says. IMO they eat almost twice as much when they're growing pups as they do as adults and I always feed 3 feedings/day until they're at least 6 months to spread it out for them and help their little digestive systems absorb it better.

Mila turned 18 months old on the 17th of February. Attached her cuddling me at Christmas (she's no bigger than a Shih Tzu, trust her) more so for size reference. I truly think she believes she's no bigger than our smallest Shih Tzu (9lbs) Lucy. Whereas Lucy believes herself to be Mila's size, lol. Last night we were watching a scary movie and Mila cuddled on the couch, behind Lucy. Good thing we have our guard dog Lucy here. To protect Mila from monsters.

Height: 26.5"
Neck: 17"
Chest: 31.5
Length: 26"
Weight: 65 or 68 lbs. Suddenly can't remember, lol.

Sassy is 8 mos old and held her weight at 65. She grew vertically though to 26.5 inches. Life for Sassafras is chasing balls in the house and Frisbees outside. And moaning a most horrible sound if the game is ended before she's ready. Ignoring the moaning gets you a Doberman in the lap and a Frisbee in the face.

Oh no she's part of the whining club too?

How are your dogs all so heavy?

I just weighed Ace at the vet and he's 10 kg at 16 weeks!!!! He looks good to us and the vet so thats not the problem. Although I like to see pups a little fatter than he is right now.
