Callie is right on track to be a big girl herself.... CathyNu has Baba's sister and she was about that size at that age... Baba was about 10 lbs more as one would expect of a male puppy. So Dude... that lil girl is gonna be a big girl next summer!! you just wait... you have got a big beautiful gal on your hands!
Where are the PAW PICTURES? Did I miss them???

Awe...DAMNIT!!! I knew I forgot to do somethiing. I've been so caught up in work lately and posting and unposting Callies ears that I forgot. I'm sorry!!

I've been unposting her ears everytime I get home to get those sores aired out and then some Neosporin back on them and reposted before I head out to work again. They're healing up just fine but I Don't want no droopy ears on my girl.

When I get back home I'll make sure I get some paw shots for ya. :-)

Oh...and thank you for the kind words on her size. There are times I think she'll just be thin and on the lean side, then there are those times when I look at her and think she'll be a big girl like her father and some Euro heft on her.

Marko:
I think that Ozzy looks absolutely ON track for a Euro... His type of Euro is not a slender, leggy, elegant looking boy ever............

Diva, thanks for sharing your experience of this magnificent breed and making me feel reassured that Ozzy is growing as he should be. I can't wait to see how he (and Baba) will turn out as they are well matched in weight (even though they are different in shape) :woot:

I do wonder if Ozzy is too heavy as he looks ponderous at times with a heavy forward and wide chest but on the other hand I do like his powerful swagger, he prowls like a lion, this may change in time as he grows and evens out, now I don't know if this 'swagger' is correct to the standard but I like it.
Ozzy16weeks3days-5e-L.jpg
I meet his litter sister regularly and today her owner told me she weighed 39 Ibs at 16 weeks, she gets more exercise per day than Ozzy (Ozzy gets an hour) and so she looks trimmer. But you can see she also has heavy bones, she's only an inch or two smaller but like Ozzy and Baba she is 10 + Ibs heavier than the avergage I've seen here in this thread - it has to be the Euro influence :D

Don't you lust love em?

Lol No I'm not a perv, that should read 'Don't you just love em?'

:p

I was just going to BLAST ya....you caught it before I got to read your post. :-)

Everyone here on the forum becomes a PERV when it comes to loving and protecting our furry butt friends! :-) :-)

Zoorox: Ala is also going to be a big girl... where are sum updated photos of her? You know how we all love Dobie photos! ;)

Marko: Ozz-miester is on track... he is built like 'The baba'... He is going to be a big guy and he is going to be turning heads all over the UK.. Hopefully you will show him and see just how lovely he is!
Baba will be shown here in the spring when he is about 12 months old. I am not one to show them when they are little, unless they just happen to be close to home! But Arizona only has shows in the fall and early spring because of the heat! So we have to wait for the boy to mature up a bit.. I will show him in UKC and IABCA and finish him too...
I hope you will show "The Oz-man' too... he is a BEAUTY!

And Earle... no worries dude.. Just wanna keep the thread going! baby feet!

well...........I took my pack out for a run last week with camera in hand. but then war broke out between the dogs and all are now on lock down.guess I will run them in twos now............red dogs and black dogs lol!

I just wanted to get all of Della's weights together on one page, rather than scattered through the whole thread, so here they are. If anyone else has the whole list for their now adult dogs go ahead and post them up as well. :)

Callie's weigh in:

14wks - 28.0#'s
15wks - 33.2#'s
16wks - 39.0#'s (21in)

I wasn't able to go to the vet's today for Callie's booster shots, but everything went great.

My old vet retired this week so my wife met the new vet at the office along side the retiring vet and she said the new vet is really good. He is very knowledgeable about Dobe's....in fact she said he sounds like me when he talks about the breed. (I'm in trouble then...he don't know SH**!)

Both vet's said that Callie is doing great and developing really well. They said that she is going to be a BIG girl and are looking forward to watching her grow up. Also my wife said that Callie was on her best behavior and had the vet's eating out of her paws.
They were really impressed with how her ears doing, but gave me some ear drops to give her every morning to help loosen up some ear wax that had started to harden up just a little....also there was just a little dried up blood left in that one ear from her scratching. They liked the healing process a lot and said that I had done a good job on the continuous posting/unposting that I had done to let the injury get as much air as possible but yet not lose any ground on her ears standing up.

My wife said that we are stepping up a little in the vet department with the retirement of our old vet. My wife really liked the way the new vet handled himself around Callie and the way Callie handled herself around him.

According to my wife the vet checked out Callie everywhere...she said it reminded her of the way a judge would feel a dog in the show ring. The vet said he liked everything about Callie and spent a great length of time just admiring her.

That's my girl:D:D

Just like the vet's...I was pleased with her weight gain & her height measurement.
