Doberman puppy owners - track your weight gain here

We're lucky that there's quite a few places around here that allow dogs like Home Depot and Bass Pro so we have been able to get her out some. As long as you avoid places with lots of strange dogs, and more importantly strange dog feces, you should be safe to take her out.

We have a local farm & feed store called D&B Supply that allows dogs in and there a couple local stores that I know the owners that have allowed me to do a little walk through and greeting of people.

I've just weighed Ozzy at 15 weeks 4 days, he weighed a whopping 48.6 Ibs, I'm not taking any bets that he hits 50 Ibs at 16 weeks. :p

Should I be worried that he is putting on so much weight so soon? Looking at him he is chubby but you can see his ribs as he turns. He is solid though not a skinny bit on him. He has two to three cups of Eukanuba large breed puppy and 1/2 pound of mince a day, a dab of yogurt (when I remember) and a teaspoonful of fish oil...

The only photo I can find of him in a position to show some rib taken last w/e...

Got a height on Keiser. He is 13 inches tall at the shoulders.

10# at 7 weeks
13# at 8 weeks
14 1/2# at 8 weeks 5 days (He had a upset stomach earlier this week.)

Also getting his ears done nest week.

Aww look at poor Rivers swollen gums, but look at those cute big girl teeth coming in too. Albert lost 2 canines between Sunday night and Monday afternoon, so that made me very happy. I feel bad though too because you can see that his mouth is pretty touchy so I'll be glad when the teething is all done for the poor guy.

Good luck on Rooster's crop!

I was noticing that River's weights seem to match up pretty well to Della's as she grew. She's just gonna be another petite girl. :)
You're right, she is sort of paralleling her, isn't she? Nothing wrong with petite and within the breed standard. :) Although the last time Della was at the vet she was 73# so that's more than I thought she'd mature to, but she could take a couple pounds off too.

Keiser
10# at 7 weeks
13# at 8 weeks
15# at 9 weeks.
Taking him to see the vet on Monday and if all looks good he will have his ears cropped on Wednesday.

Marko:
I think that Ozzy looks absolutely ON track for a Euro... His type of Euro is not a slender, leggy, elegant looking boy ever... he is thick, meaty muscular, MASSIVE bone and sound solid structure. He is not too heavy... One need also remember that at this age? They are growing like a child who goes from 3 yrs in maturity and size to a 16 year old in about 9 months... So thickening up, then shooting up and looking gangly, thickening up and they shooting up again... legs outgrow bodies and then bodies catch up... and so on...
So, he is just like Baba... Baba is lean mean fighting machine, but does NOT look like the North American counter parts here on this forum. So Ozz and Baba are going to be heavier, thicker and more dense, and have great bone density and girth, and width and the weight comes from teh skeleton NOT the body fat and or even the muscle at this point. Its all in teh bones... his body weight when mature will be far in excess of those NA counter parts. I would not doubt if he reaches 95-100 lbs or more... if he is 50 lbs at 4 months old, you can pretty well bet he will be a 100 lb adult... and he will be able to leap tall buildings, fences, do IPO and Schutzhund and or tracking, obedience, Korung and more...
Just watch and see!! he looks absolutely fabulous! He is a gorgeous little Dude! :congrats:
