Great! They look good. Yes, the Doberpups can look like bats until they grow into their ears more.

The breeder gave Rubie and her siblings show crops (some went to show homes) which was scary since it was my first time posting and I know the long crops can be fussy. Very pleased with how they turned out though! These were done by someone in Chicago.

What is the difference between a pet crop and a medium crop? BTW this dod is a carbon copy of our dog except our dog has a short crop.

    Hey there!

I don't know that there is an official designation "pet crop" but I know that "show crop" is a common term, so I bet pet crop means shorter than a show crop. Show crops are quite long and usually take longer to get them to stand.

So, what is the difference between a pet crop and a medium crop? I'd say they could be the same length approximately.

My first Dobe had a short crop, which by the way, sometimes called a "military crop." I used to like to consider his crop a throwback to the earliest days of the breed. :)

Really, crops come in all different lengths.

Here's a website with some approximate lengths with a photo The Doberman

    I would say:
Short crop (they do get shorter too)

Luke at 5 months, 5.5 months, and 6 months. Last two are relaxed ears. Resized_20161014_182607.jpeg FB_IMG_1480304735240.jpg IMG_20161210_134300.jpg

IMG_1149.JPG I know I posted Shadow's crop on a posting thread but I don't think it's on this one. Here she is at 5.5 months.

Probably the 3rd or 4th posting. A smaller medium, what I was going for.

We tried a few times but can never keep them in more than a day or two due to him slinging his head so hard. He cant stand them so I'm not sure what to do....

We've tried to post a few more times but he slings his head until he worked the post out. He'll only keep them I normally only a day or two. Any suggestions? Can I just tape without putting a post in?
