Oh Yes, I don't know what I would do without him to wear her out! lol When she is playing nice by herself I think, break for Spike finally, and he'll go over and take her toy/ bone just to play/wrestle more. He never tires of her! He is in LOVE.

How come they get their ears cropped ? I'm from the UK, and we don't do a lot of dog body part altering over here really. Is it for working dogs ?

I refer you to the thread entitled something like "Is Cropping Purely Cosmetic?"

It's a highly contentious topic unfortunately. My view is that it is not purely cosmetic, and there are very good reasons for the individual Dobe, and for the breed to do so.
