Doberman puppy owners - track your weight gain here

So while not actually writing anything down I have been keeping track of my boy Winston for the past few months.

He just turned 8 months old 4 days ago.
Height = 28 inches
Weight = 79lbs

I'm curious to see if he will continue to tack on anymore height through the next 4 months. I know he will put on muscle as his mother was between 85-90lbs at 2 years old and his father was 95-100lbs at the same age. He is very lean but I can feel his weight.

The 2 photos I have attached are him at 7 months.

They vary a lot but they usually slow way down height wise at this age. Many males will continue filling out until they're 3 - 4 years old but the height is usually done by about a year, give or take.

Yeah, I saw a pretty good albeit brief summary from the Doberman Pinscher club of America that mentioned the same thing. I'm just curious to see if he might gain another inch or 2 at the shoulders since he has 4 more months to go till he's a year old.

PS. How might I start a new discussion on here? Brand new to the site.

I seriously doubt he'll gain another 2" anymore at this age since the growth has slowed down so much. Albert was pretty much done height wise by the time he was 8 months.

Thanks! I've gone ahead and posted a thread asking about puppy temperament. Appreciate the info :-)

Twilight, just back from board and train for 3 weeks. Only gained 3lbs the whole time she was gone. She's 24 weeks and 45.0lbs. I decided to repost her ears today after leaving them down for 2 days, they just didn't seem perfect to me yet.

Twilight is 25 weeks old now and actually lost weight since last week, about a 1/2 pound. She is 44.6lbs. Her parents were large, dam was 90lbs and sire was 100lbs. I am wondering if she's just going to turn our smaller than expected? I was thinking that she would make it to about 80lbs, but judging from some of the other weigh-ins it looks like she is actually smaller than average for her age. She eats well and is on Orijen Large Puppy. She is very thin in my opinion, but as I've seen many times people seem to say they should be on the thinner side as a puppy. I was thinking maybe I should increase the amount I'm feeding her daily? Thoughts?

I think she looks perfect so I wouldn't up the food unless you start seeing hip bone or lots of ribs, which I don't in these photos.
If she winds up between 65 and 75# that's actually a very good weight for a female, depending on the height of course.

It doesn't show up very well in the photos but her hip bones are definitely visible.

I'd be more concerned looking at the ribs...Graces hips were visible from about 6 months till 11 months...but her ribs were perfect...She was going pretty fast during that time and I was feeding her 3 times a day...She had her 1st heat and it was like magic, everything moved around and she looked perfect for her size at the end of the heat.
