Yes, and I think its the hard plastic that puts off Kali. It's practically bigger than her and I think she's a bit intimated by it. And I think if Buddy was younger he'd go after it. But he shows no real interest. Especially being hard plastic. The only problem is that this is an outdoor toyyou need space for the hard plastic shape to roll. It's light weight but will bang into your fence. But it's a total buy!
This is a good point. It is a bit wild for a smaller dog and even I was worried he would run into me while he chased it around. It might just be more intriguing to a younger dog with high ball drive. Or a single dog household. Buddy can always chase Kali around instead!Yes, and I think its the hard plastic that puts off Kali. It's actually a bit heavy for a small dog too. I mean, its about her size! lol I know it can't be soft or it wouldn't hold up. I just didn't expect it to be so heavy. Kali is quite intimated by it. But a young (er) Doberman would probably Love it!This is a good point. It is a bit wild for a smaller dog and even I was worried he would run into me while he chased it around. And most of the time she is loving it too!
LOL, I have to put ours away when play time is over too or he'd spend all of his time outside playing with it.I sneak out into the yard to hide it in a square shaped bag. Otherwise every potty break would turn into play time!
The eGGe or do you mean something else? The 12" we have is only a couple ounces at best.I just didn't expect it to be so heavy.
It actually says Jolly ball on it.The eGGe or do you mean something else? The 12" we have is only a couple ounces at best.
It hurts my foot to kick it!! I have some video. If I get a chance I'll post it.Oh yeah, the Jolly Egg is totally different and from what I've heard not very durable. It actually says Jolly ball on it.

From the sound of it, it sounds like the Jolly Egg is heavier. But I can't imagine it not being as durable. It hurts my foot to kick the darn thing! lol It seems very durable. I'm going to leave it outside, even in winter, to see if it gets played with so I will be testing that durability!I have the jolly egg! Not necessarily... Prey drive seems to be crucial, but I don't know what makes one dog love it more than other dogs. I discovered my past dog Ladybug's love of large balls by accident. Somebody left a basketball on the baseball diamond I was using as a training field for her and she flipped out! She popped the basketball in no time, so I got her the eGGe. Hans loves it because she loved it. He copied everything she did.I wonder if high ball drive is a prerequisite to liking the egg...
Ruby has a high ball drive and Spike has a high squirrel drive...neither were interested. sigh EVEN tried to get the Rottie pup Roman to play with it...no luck...I wonder if high ball drive is a prerequisite to liking the egg...

It's worth a try. I'll report back here on how the harness works out for us. I actually haven't properly walked the dog for days...the Jolly Egg has been the discovery of a lifetime!
