Can’t disturb a sleeping dog! Kaiser is out flat on the floor and my phone is in my bag which is still in the car with the garage door open...but Kaiser’s nap is more important haha.

This morning, checking out her territory. She still has a 30 metre tether on at night or she might go ahunting! 
Of course she has her warm bed at night but the door is always open so she can go out to check suspicious noises. And now it's colder she is more inclined to stay snuggled unless it is REALLY important!!!

She does tangle herself up! Often!!! She has a special, "Mum I'm tangled" yip, followed by a louder sharper bark if I don't come fix it in a few minutes. The good thing is that she will park and wait without any yanking or lunging at the line. A useful talent to have for all occasions and makes hitching her lead to something really easy as she just waits, even if she is hitched to a twig!
At night she stays close and rarely hooks up on anything, thank goodness!

Brinks went to the vet today for his annual shots and heartworm test. Don’t let this casual appearance fool you; he was NOT well behaved. He whined and cried most of the time to the point where conversation was difficult at best :eye roll: he also acted like death was his only motive towards a poor old lab sporting a cone of shame. The only bit of luck I was granted is that he didn’t notice the giant orange cat lounging by the door. I’m hoping he doesn’t get us disqualified at the race this Saturday.
Some of you may remember some months back he sliced his paw pretty badly and now his toe sticks out all the time. I asked the vet about it and he said that he’s surprised it didn’t bleed as much as I described because it cut down to his bone and severed completely at least two, possibly three tendons. There’s not much to be done about it sans implants from specialists that still have varying degrees of success. I will mention that he shows zero discomfort whatsoever and you’d never be able to tell he hurt it except for it’s appearance. Otherwise the vet said he is a good weight with good muscle tone and appears healthy. He weighs 90.4 pounds.
The center of his focus is a poster with a dog on it. He afterwards got up to sniff it to see if it was indeed real.

Naughty, naughty Brinks! Its so embarrassing when they misbehave in public. My previous dog was reactive to everything and took a whole lot of training to be manageable. I hope to avoid that with Jasper. His bark is so loud already I am sure it looks aggressive to most non dog people.

I didn’t dedicate a post to it but it happened on my birthday (March 10) I think a shard of glass washed down the creek and he stepped on it while outside playing. I tried to find pics where you can tell but on his right front paw his second big toe sticks out now as a result.

Eek poor guy. One of my dogs got cut by glass in his toe and had to get stitches. All it took was 10mins and his first time at a beach. The same beach I have been taking dogs to for years without incident. Kato was a shit magnet to say the least XD RIP

While jogging along the water’s edge with the twins trying to get home before all hell broke loose, we saw this magnificent water spout. If you enlarge the picture you can see it pulling up the ocean water.
