My extra Velcro GSD... he is the one that’s always glued to my side like so.
After much deliberation I’ve decided to take Rio to the race tomorrow instead of Brinks. With the way Brinks reacts to strange dogs I think he will just be completely overwhelmed and neither one of us would have a good time. That being said, I hope they have another race next year so I can prepare him better!

I was thinking about that this morning! I'm glad Rio get's to go with you but I think Brinks would surprise you. Rubie can get a little worked up at the vets office, too. Tight quarters, everyone else is riled up, etc., but does AWESOME when we're at trials and during any public outing we've done AS LONG AS she's paying attention to me and being generally ignored by other dogs. The initial arrival can be a little hectic but once they settle down, it's game on. Good luck tomorrow! are you going to have someone at the finish line to take pictures!?

I’ve been thinking about it hard, and I almost feel a little guilty for not giving him a chance. But honestly I’ve never had him in a situation like this, but any other time we encounter strange dogs it is not pleasant. If we’re on hikes I have to get a tight hold of him and stand off to the side of the trail, keep him moving and just tell him it’s none of his business. We get through but he still growls and tries to lunge. After this race I’m going to look for another 5k that allows dogs but is more low key to try him on, one that is non competitive. Once he actually gets to meet dogs that he previously acted like he wants to kill he’s usually just overly excited and wants to be friends :eye roll: I’m sure if he was a little dog his antics would be funny... but he’s NOT little LOL and the rules made it clear any aggressive behaving dogs would be asked to leave. We all know he’s a big baby but to a stranger he probably looks like an evil demon dog!
I have no idea how we’re going to do or what the competition is like, but we’re going to give it our best shot. My boyfriend is coming so I’m going to ask him to take pictures, and there’s a “photo finish” at the end and then a set up prop stage to have photos taken afterwards. IF they don’t have photographers around the course taking pictures of participants tackling the various obstacles, they’re missing out on a gold mine. Whenever I did horse shows there was always a designated photographer with a website where everyone could go see afterwards and pick with photos they want to purchase.

I forgot it was an obstacle type course. I can't imagine they wouldn't have people at several spots taking pictures. Can't wait to see them!!!!

Jasper having another good day with a few ball throws before he gets some leash training. Now that he is almost 6mths old I started doing a little bit of training with his E-collar so that he can have more freedom. But for now I am still making him drag a long line.
His ears looks pretty good but he still has a bit more teething to go through. So close to being done and not having to worry about posting or if its raining outside!

We had some rain come through. Nothing big but enough to chase us off the deck for a while. We sat back down and I threw a cushion on the ground for Buddy, mostly. I mean, he is getting old and he can use some pampering. The next thing I know they are both on there! Kali, with one of the many bones and Buddy just chilling.

Aww thank you! He did get a number of comments, and there was quite a multitude of photographers floating about but one girl really liked him and took the time to get some shots. She gave me her card and I went onto her Instagram, guess what? She has two Dobermans. A very handsome Black and Tan male and a red and rust female that’s name is... RUBY. Lol!

Kaiser is being entirely too much today! 
Wouldn’t settle for longer than a whole minute in the basement. I shut the door to keep him down there, but then he’d go and stand at the top of the stairs like this.

Gee I should have thought of that for something to throw down on our deck. I've been looking for some weather proof material to make some with the memory foam mattress pads we're not using anymore but the fabric alone would cost a fortune. Next time I go to town I'll have to look at the cushions like that.

Jazz turned 2 on Friday. She got some pressies but she is so spoiled she takes it all for granted. The bed and collapsible bowls are for our camping expedition in August. The toys are just for fun, and the bully stick was the biggest I could find, her first ever, and she loves them!

Wow, so many wonderful gifts! All Dober-proof too, except maybe the bed lol. Definitely need some bigger sticks! They are a life saver!
