Wow, good on you for kicking that dog! Incidents like this shouldn’t happen in classes so hopefully it teaches the owners a lesson.

It’s funny you say that because the dogs in the class should’ve already completed an obedience class (we didn’t, nothing was checked but Rio is good) and the class before there was two scuffles with the same dog, a terrier looking thing same size as this one. On the site it says any aggressive behavior will result in immediate revocation but that has not been the case. We were literally not even close to that dog minding our own business and he targeted Rio for whatever reason. I would’ve done more if it meant protecting my dog.

are they crated in between runs? If not... I would say buy a lightweight collapsible one from Amazon or something. We just had an incident in a class I wasn't in, luckily, or I'd have lost my sh*t. These two dogs have been in class together for years and the one just decided to bypass her crate and go after a corgi in another. Luckily the crate stopped her but she did manage to get some teeth on the Corgi's nose.

My little sun worshippers. We haven't had the heat on in the house yet which is perfect for Moose but Rubie is not a fan of anything below 70.

@LifeofRubie in our beginner class it’s outdoors and while there are crates available everyone just keeps their dogs leashed next to them. Only time I saw someone use a crate was because she had two dogs and rotated working them. We’re not all to the point yet where we’re completing whole courses, but working on foundation sequences and becoming familiar with the obstacles.

Hmm... I would still crate. Since a lot of the dogs are so new, they're still learning what the expectation is in this type of setting and I'm sure it's very stimulating for them! It's also good for teaching dogs to chillax in their crates in trial settings with people and dogs and excitement going on around them!

Yesterday I took all of the dogs to my moms. Rio went on a mini hike with my mom and her dog Sadie, then out to lunch. In turns we took two dogs at a time to the football field to run around and play after that. Everyone had a good time.

My handsome Jasper. He is just over 10mths old now. I noticed that between the flirt pole sessions and ball chasing he is starting to fill out in his chest.

^^^^^ He's really well filled out for 10 months! Going to be a hunky, handsome dude!

Seeing your dog in silhouette really gives a different take on their shape. Jazz isn't as much a Dober shape without her Dober suit on. She still has a beautiful athletic body to my eyes. IMG_0387x2.jpg IMG_0390x2.jpg

Will be interesting to see how much more he fills out by 2 and 3 years old. It seems to happen so gradually with the males.
