I've seen my Dobe grab a bee out of the air and grant it a hasty release.

We're on the cusp of the colors starting to change, though! We didn't see many for several years it seems but we've joined a local Doberman club and frequent these massive events where statistically you'd think you'd come across one! I think we saw 4.5 other Dobes (the one looked like a Dobe/Sight Hound mix - right color, floppy ears, long tail, but the tail was extra hairy and he was thin but not underweight looking) while at the Arboretum. Our biggest surprise was discovering there was a red male Dobe who lives about 5 blocks from our house!! I think we have several in the neighborhood but they just don't seem to be out and about much

Can't really blame Rue. She learned from the #1 mud dauber. :D And it was hot! The heat index was over 100. The mud must have been cool because she let out an audible moan the minute she landed.

Yesterday was really hot and humid! I think the dogs were glad to come inside to the air-conditioning!

It’s a Watusa. It’s smaller than the Agouti but they look alike. An Agouti is around 2’ long and weighs around 8lbs. These Watusa are about 1-1 1/2 ft long and weigh around 4-6 lbs. they come into the yard every evening before sunset foraging for nuts and other items.

So I’m in Florida helping my mom move, and I’m not gonna lie I’m feeling pretty emotional about it. I grew up here, been here for 26 years every treasured memory I have is here at this house. It was my dads pride and joy, he died seven years ago and I feel like with leaving the house I’m leaving a part of him too. I’m sorry I know this probably isn’t the proper avenue to vent but I needed to say something :( I’m away from the dogs that makes me extra sad as well. I’m trying not to let it get to me too much!

^^^^^ Some things just sneak up on you out of the blue, and hard to be away from the pups, who know how to empathise.

 It really looks like a gun!!

@Brioddy I was excited to see your first post about your mom moving up by you! Your second post brought tears to my eyes! :( I'm very sentimental and certainly can understand your pain. It will be a hard move. But having your mom with you will help it turn into Joy.:goodluck:
