Freyja is sooo much easier than Ragnar. Hate to say it but she listens more intently and is willing to please. Ragnar was just fricking wild. But then at same time, I don’t have to put up with unspent puppy energy at all....they run and play so much that they both take lots of naps and sleep through the night. And it’s amazing on how she looks at him to see if it’s the correct thing to do. For example, both are in a sit- place bowl of food at their feet and have them in a hold. Tonight I tried freeing Freyja first to eat while telling Ragnar to wait. It was hilarious, I told her free, she looked at me, looked at the food, looked at Ragnar then back at me. I said free again and she looked at Ragnar pissed off like, cmon dude let’s eat. She would not eat until I freed Ragnar....LOL. It was pretty funny.
And also, you or Kaiser made the point that a 2nd Doberman should be significantly easier from the trials and tribulations of the first- very much a true statement.
I am not as hell bent on “training her in”, we are doing more of training in play and just letting it happen, she sees Ragnar do it first.
Teaching her sit, stay, heel, up in truck, off, hold. Teaching commands in Cajun French as well as trying hand signals too.
First time at soccer fields and she handled walking on the leash well and taking in all the visual and auditory stim. She was very alert and watched everyone/everything.
This is her mimicking Ragnar placing on the mat awaiting to be fed. What took Ragnar days to figure out took Freyja two attempts to get.
