Post Heat Cycle / False Pregnancy

@Rits this is interesting information. Sasha is about 9 months and driving me crazy. Thinking hormones may be a factor. Glad your pretty girl is ok, and that collar!😍

Shes been coming in every 4.5-5 months the past two heats which can happen and is normal for some but I'd like a longer break 😅
Noooo! Asha's last heat was about 3 weeks early. She'd been so good about being very timely with 6 months. So now she's due in November but I'm watching her closely starting today. I've got that workshop this weekend, guess I should pack her pants & pads just in case. If anything that will assure that she won't start.

I would take the duck away.
For sure. It definitely drives the hormones down. Not to be cruel - animals deal with natural things much better than we do - but if Phoebie had one "puppy" (duck) and it "died" (you put it away in a closet), her nesting and worrying would just end, unless she quickly finds another toy to take its place. No puppy, the hormones drop off, and Mother Nature just says "maybe next time".

Well last night I got the Dremel out and turned it on to make sure the battery was okay. She knows the Dremel means Selleck will be here and it seems like that snapped her right out of it and she left the duck to go get a pig and the bully stick that's been sitting on the floor all week. I took that opportunity to put the duck back in the bag and she hasn't looked back.
