My girl is a woman now. ☺️

Now those look like the right thing for the job! I thought the bronze might be more of a blend to her fur color but they look great anyways. I should have Z's on Wednesday, i believe.

They did not go for a "low profile" vibe. Is there a functional benefit to having them be highly visible? Or is it just having fun?

Hard to say what the maker had in mind with the colors, but if you have a black&tan girl, they do offer a lightly patterned black choice, but I thought they would stick out pretty bad on a red dobie?

I think it's more for fun or if you have a color theme for that particular dog.
Roughly 80 percent of people meeting my dogs say "good boy!" Or, "What's his name?" And I'm like... her name is... So a little identification doesn't hurt, even if the opportunity to identify them during heat is limited?

I did too actually.

Let's face it. Anything that you put on them like this is going to be highly visible.🤭 I don't think it 'disappears' unless it's black on black. But I'd say it's hard to be invisible when you're putting panties on your dog. ☺️And for the most part they only wear them indoors anyway. So unless I'm having company it's a non-issue for me. And even then...🤷‍♀️ it is what it is!

I completely agree here! Which one of these you buy for your dog pretty much only matters to you and your home. And I can't say for sure but I'm pretty sure the Dobergirls could care less about the fashion of it all while they're (presumably) cramping and sweating and fighting mostly thirsty boys off. I picked Bronze for Z. In the hope it might be low key, but really no one will see her till 21 or more days after her first drop of blood anyway.

Totally agree! We're putting pants on a dog, may as well lean in

This whole thing made me look up the pants I had made for our Electra years ago....she was a red, and I thought this pattern was so cute. Electra was a big girl. Then came Glory....she is such a peanut, and only 6 months old in this photo the pants were huge on her! But they did the trick
That's the other thing I wanted to mention; see the plastic wrap we put on our carpet when she was in heat? Bought it at Home Depot - it's a cling wrap thing you lay out on your carpet, and it worked wonders when we didn't have her pants on at night. In that photo we hadn't covered the whole room yet....
