Selene starts her journey north tomorrow. Figured I would take her ears down and put in fresh posts so her new owner won't have to do them for a few days. :woot2: And what to my wondering eyes I do see........ EARS!!!

Thought I would add a pic of Gretel (Orange girl) during her post change. Panama got them off to a great start with their ears! 42EEFC22-844E-468D-9D6A-D7DBDCC8C504.jpeg

I'll say... Cooper does look like he has a little naughtiness in his expression though. LOL

OMG..... I took down Sass' ears today. Her family picks her up on Thursday, so trying to time it where she will have fresh posts when she goes home. Of course, when you first take them down, they look like helicopter blades.... I washed her ears good to get the Telesis (adhesive remover) off and put her on the porch (fenced in) to dry real good before reposting her.

I think back to my first few pups. Although we got ears to stand nicely, I had no help from the breeder or vets. All trial & error. I know how much of a nightmare it can be for someone new, fairly new or new after a long time without a cropped pup. It's not fair to new owners or the pups to leave the cropping up to them or scrambling for help. I knew I could get a nice crop done, get them healed and get them started with their postings. That was my responsibility. Making sure they follow through and being here for them in all aspects of raising their pup is my responsibility as well. I am here for them any time!

It’s wonderful that you do this. So many come on here and are left to find their own cropping vet and figure out posting. I couldn’t image having to do that. When we picked Shadow up our breeder had her posted but demonstrated on another puppy how to post. Everything from making the post to inserting them down deep to taping and bridge. It was tremendously helpful. My husband got a video of it on his phone so that we could reference it.

I'd rather get them through all that so they can enjoy their family when they leave my care. It can be difficult to find a vet to do ear cropping, and the initial aftercare can be stressful & should not be a trial and error situation.

:(:):(:) Little Sass is being picked up tomorrow, a day early. Gonna miss this little spitfire. She'll only be 2 hrs away, so I will likely get to see her as well as Gretel now and then. She's actually a little bigger then I thought... I estimated 18 lbs, she is 21.5 lbs.

Yes, Cooper (yellow collar boy) is still with us. Everyone is looking for girls, so..... we've started a little practice...

We never give too much thought to "1 week" through our daily goings-about (unless you're on a count down for either a puppy or vacations that is). I just took a picture of Cooper and put it side-by-side with a similar picture from last Tuesday. I cannot get over how much his face is changing.

Ugh.... so, tomorrow my "Super Cooper" goes to his new home. They may have a little bit of a hard time if they decide to change his name... we've called him Cooper since he was about 3 wks old, and he will be 14 wks this Monday. Gonna miss this sweet boy. As I get updates on him and his littermates, I'll be sure to share them.
