Hello I got a problem :/ my puppy is almost 9 month now and his left ears make problems. Always if he concentrate or use his muscles the ear goes to middle and stays very diagonally. Also to tip ( 1/3 of the uppers part of the ear) is almost really soft and wiggly. It is mostly layed in the right lane so it shows to the middle and the weight make that the ear is falling to the mid and almost fell over on the head. It also looks shorter when it stands that way ( pictures below) . If he do nothing everything stands fine. I hope someone can help me and show me a way to fix. I also post it consistently and make it to the outside ( Zip Tie Method). Please help me guys :(

I agree that you need bumpers to straighten them out.

Here's a link.

Thank you my friend!

He needs to be posted with a bumper. I don't know if you can with the zip tie method, but a bumper should straighten that ear up.
I've never done the zip tie method but I've seen videos where they use a cotton square folded to use as a bumper with the zip tie.

I am sorry but I don't understand the obsession with ear posting. It clearly hurts your dog and there is no point to it. Why would you cause your dog so much pain?

We welcome you to Doberman Chat but will ask that you refrain from asking for debates about cropping ears. It is not common to have problems with it but since we are a forum for asking for help with problems, it may seem like it happens more often than it does. Most of us do not ever see these problems and there is no discomfort whatsoever.
