I guess! And I finally had to have my husband take over the weighing. I tried to pick her up yesterday and this morning I woke up with my back out of whack! I racked my brain thinking, what the hell did I do? I didn't do any really big physical thing outside to warrant this happening. And then I remembered picking up Annie. Oh yeah that'll do it. Hubby!? You're up!

I finally had to have my husband take over the weighing.

Once they hit 45# or so it took two of us. Hubby would pick up the pup and I'd tap the scale to get it to zero out and then read the weight since he couldn't see it holding the pup.

I am really lucky, we live a block and a half or so from the vet clinic, they don't mind us coming in to weigh, and don't charge anything for it. I take her to the scales and tell her "both axles" and she will get on the scale and sit. Well, sometimes. other times she is amped up and it takes a little more effort from me.

Our vet used to have one accessible to anyone but he had to remove it because people were complaining and threatening lawsuits because they were tripping on it. Give me a break, it was up against the wall and they had signs all over saying it was there...

I honestly believe people will ruin anything good you try to give them.
This clinic used to be a rather large grocery store, and the vet who owns the vet who owns the clinic was able to pretty much custom design and remodel, so there are lots of things built in that are thoughtful, like this scales is set into the floor so it's flush with everything else. Other nice things too, like their quarantine kennels room which has isolated ventilation. designated euthanasia room with an outdoor exit of it's own, so you can have your emotional meltdown somewhere other than walking back out through reception. The employee break room has its own set of kennels for employee's dogs. Half the building is stables for large animal work.

That's awesome. I wish I had something close by but it takes me a good half hour to get to mine.

Maybe slightly. Remy’s weight didn’t start to level off until 8 months or so, but the rate of growth definitely slows down as they age.

Hi all, here is our girl's weight chart to date. After reading the posts on this thread, I feel like Kaia may be underweight.

Any thoughts?

8/10: 7 pounds
8/15: 9 pounds
8/17: 9.4 pounds
8/19: 10.2 pounds
8/20: 11 pounds
8/24: 13 pounds.

Aww she's cute and it looks like she's having steady weight gain so I wouldn't worry. At 9 weeks it's impossible to tell since they all vary so much.
