Doberman puppy owners - track your weight gain here

8.5 weeks 11lbs
9.5 weeks 14.4 lbs (first vet visit, and treatment for coccidia)
10 weeks - 16 lbs
11 weeks - 19 lbs
12 weeks - 22 lbs (coccidia clear) - 15 3/4" tall.
13 weeks - 24 lbs - 17" tall.
14 weeks - 28 lbs - 17 1/4" tall
15 weeks - 30 lbs - 18 3/4" tall (could be 19, measurer fail, lol)
16 weeks - 32.5 lbs - 19" tall
17 weeks (3 days she'll be 4 calendar months) - 34.5 lbs - 20 1/4" tall
19 weeks - 38 lbs - 21" at shoulders.

I measured to the top of her head too because she's so dang tall, and to the top of her head, it's 26 inches. 4.5 months and it's like a full grown dog walking around.

Majority of the baby teeth are finally gone. Only a few left. Because of our height, we are in a vertical stage. Wants up on chairs, couches, counters, us. Up, up, up. Oy. I think it's made worse because the shih tzus are allowed on the couches and chairs, and as far as she's concerned, she is the same size.

I think Nero was 22" tall last week. i weighed him at home and he was 38lbs? I figured that wasnt right. I'm going to take him to petsmart today and get a real weight.

He's starting on a prong now. He keeps jumping on furniture and bugging the cat so i said screw it and put on a prong when he's in the house and not limited to the kitchen. Yesterday after his runny poop he jumped on the bed and got poop all over the blanket and sheets. Hubs was not pleased.

He still has his regular collar on too, he gets a correction with that first. I have tried to find a martingale that fits but the local pet stores are not good sources and im reluctant to buy online because of sizing.

Imho hubs just needs to make sure hes in the friggin crate before taking his collar off. Hubs wont use a prong anyhow so it was put away.

Probably have the worst trained dobe in the world with his inconsistent help. weeeeee

I hope he does understand that they're a great and humane training tool when used properly so he doesn't deter you from using it when you're ready.

LOL, been there, done that but don't worry, they'll get it with your consistency. When our dogs were young and first starting out I thought "boy they're never going to get this", but it all falls into place and now I can't tell the leash is even on most of the time.

Same with Jax...once he finally started walking nice on the leash, I sometimes got scared because it felt like it came unhooked!!...I NEVER thought that would happen...he was a beast with pulling! Now, my Mom (teeny) or my nieces can walk him and he is just perfect.
It'll just click, and you'll be amazed and so happy you were consistent even if sometimes it takes 30 minutes to walk 20 feet!!

I can make you a custom martingale if you're interested for a good deal ;) message me if you'd like to consider it, I can send you a link to my products if you'd like to check it out!

And I appreciate the comments. It's been so long since Ive had a puppy and I likely don't have the patience I should.
Boy howdy, patience is key. I forgot what it was like to raise just one puppy and silly me decided two would be great.
I have to say though I wouldn't trade it for anything. They have my heart!!

Right there with you on mine being a pain. Mila has been insaaaannneee this past week to deal w. Not that she hasn't been rambunctious, but even today I admit it! I shut the door when she tried to follow me into my room so I could have FIVE minutes without her shoving the nose between my legs when I move, nipping the butt, and me having to correct her (what feels like) every move. It's the time of testing boundaries! Not yay! The cat, the dogs, the counters, you name it, she's testing. Back to momma not sitting for long.

Honestly today I was starting to feel like a crap mom until I read your message, lol.

Vet weighed her in on Friday (final visit for shots/checkup - hopefully - until her spay after a yr old) at 45.9 lbs. Height 21.5" at shoulders.

@alphafemale they are a Velcro dog for sure.
I was going nuts when my two were 4mo old constantly running around my feet and tripping me, nose goosing every step. Walking on the backs of my sandals, unable to dress without them grabbing my clothes and running with them.
Solo bathroom time is totally non existent. Wait a second.....they still do a lot of this at almost 8mo old. Hahaha
My male is a very vocal whining, moaning, groaning machine. He is just chatty. My female not so much. Thank goodness. At least they have each other and my Beagle Maddie to rough romp with and burn up their endless energy. With their frequent training classes they are vastly improving so it does get better. Just hang in there. Would love to have you post in the Naughty Puppy thread.:rofl::rofl:

At the vet today for a skin rash. Weighed Shadow she's 51lbs. She'll be 19weeks this week. So my problem is she's a foody. I don't want her to be overweight and cause problems for her joints but training is so hard when she's hungry.
