Del Nasi Kennel

Hi, I’m a new user living in the UK. Me and my parter are looking at buying a puppy from the Del Nasi Kennel in Slovenia, Europe. Has anyone got any info/experience about the kennel? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome from Minnesota, USA! I know quite a few Del Nasi pups and the reviews are mixed with some excellent and some not so great.

Our Female who we Imported from Romania her Father is Asterix Del Nasi. She is a great Dobe and has a great temperament. Not quite a High drive that we wanted.

The best advice for a puppy search is research the pedigrees of both parents. Look for things like COD's and longevity. Also make yourself aware of what health testing needs to be done as well as what the results mean. That's especially true of of any heart related tests. They can be hard to understand and the words used to describe the results matter.

Hey! I know this is an older post but I wanted to ask you some questions regarding Zara's breeder. What was your experience like dealing with Del Nasi? I am considering getting a puppy from them this year. Eutay would be the sire (Asterix was my first pick, but unfortunately they have no mating plans for him).

My biggest concern is the language barrier. The breeder is very short, direct, almost rude in his communication with me through WhatsApp. I know he gets a ton of messages daily, but it's already hard wrapping my head around the fact that I am sending thousands of dollars to a complete stranger in another country, whom I can barely communicate with.

The other breeder I am considering is Vital Screen, with Hunter as the sire. The breeder is SUPER nice and always answers any questions I have. However, they churn out so many litters a year. That's kind of concerning.

We didn't deal directly with Del Nasi.
Our breeder who we imported from is in Romania. She used Asterix as the Sire for her Dam. And then we imported our puppy from her. Our breeder mostly breeds for shows as Zara has a medium drive.

But she is very healthy. She turned 5yrs old in March. Just Cardio tested again last month Echo Normal and 24hr Holter PVC's 0. At 2yrs old Hips and Elbows rated OFA Excellent and DCM1 & DCM2 Negative. But these don't mean 100% guarantee she will not get DCM!

Also as with any breeder. Ask for all the health testing results for the Sire and Dam.

Please AVOID Vital screen! I had a horrible experience with my pup and the condition she arrived to me, they are truly are a puppy mill not a kennel that actually cares about breeding healthy dogs! They are Only in it for your money not the health of their dogs!

Oh I know..... he was one of the first breeders I reached out to and I thought they were top quality. But after doing more research and talking to Doberman owners, I realized they are just a glorified puppy mill.

That's not true with all Altobello pups since some are great and there are some others using that name falsely and they are not good breeders.

hello, as they have already told you: avoid Vital Screen... is a scam, 7k EUR for a puppy?!? their dogs are not the same as you see in the video and for sure they're not as big as you think.... hunter was smaller than my female dobermann and from the web they say he died when he was 2,5 years old.
about Del Nasi, he is not bad, he had champions but currently he's making litters with inbreeding probably to look for a new champion after Eutay and Asterix... and personally i dont like it.

Sorry haven't been on DC for a while. Training and training! Zara's breeder in Romania is on FB. She is mostly Show lines.
