Doberman Pinscher manual dated 1987

This is a book my dad had and I luckily ended up with it, as he passed in 2000. I loved this book as a kid and it now sits on my bookcase in the living room.

Today I was looking through it and duh he highlighted the area below. I can’t believe I missed this. I do recall him saying the Doberman on the cover was one of our Dobermans dad, our one male named Harley.

He also has the red highlighted too. I did a search online looks like Ch Ravenswood Rain Man Aquarius passed of an internal blockage. The red I think is a female from what I found online. Betty Clark it appears was the breeder, I do remember going to a kennel for Harley’s ear posting I was in sixth grade, I think the lady was Betty Clark. Anywho if anyone has any information if my story makes any sense, I’d love to hear it.

Weird it is his bday today too and I was dusting and decided to look at the book.

Or you could post this in one of the show groups such as Focus on the DPCA or Everything Doberman Conformation (Theresa Mullen's group) and someone thats been in the breed much longer will have info for sure!

You're welcome! As you can see, both very nice dogs that were in the top 20 that year so I can only imagine your Harley was handsome! Rachel looks like she would even be competitive today as the breed has come closer and closer (ignoring the anomalies you see) to the written standard.

I think I have that same book! I have some books and toys upstairs in the spare rooms for when the grandkids are here. Giving him something to read or play with. Especially when they were younger. And I remember putting out that book. I have to go up and check later. But that's really cool!
