American Dobermann kennel in Europe?

Hello everyone,

So I was wondering if anyone could find me find a reputable breeder in Europe that has more of an AKC standard but uncropped.
I’m well aware that since they follow the FCI standard it might not be a considered a standard breed. I do prefer their looks (a more slim look), and especially with more Doberman being a hyper type here. However, I can’t reason with brining one from America as it would cost way too much.
I’m still looking for health testing on the puppies.

Welcome to DC.
Where in Europe are you located? As written, the FCI and AKC standards are really very similar. I think max height at the withers is 0.5in (in = 2.54cm) taller in FCI. I'm assuming that what you dislike are the oversized, hypertype dogs from Eastern Europe (Hungary, Serbia, Russia and a bunch of other former soviet states), but you're in luck 😉 those are not to standard animals. Which is to say, that a reputable preservation breeder will have the sleek, slim, but not delicate or fragile dogs dobes are supposed to be.

What do you want to do with your pup? You'll want to look for someone doing the things you want to do and breeding for it.

Is the head almost the same size? It looks bigger too on ethical European Doberman although I don’t see much difference between the FCI and AKC.
It will be mostly a housepet but I was thinking of maybe doing bite work. When I say a house pet, I also mean take it with me on hikes and run with him.

Yes, head should be, "a dry, blunt wedge". Not a brick. Brick heads are great, but not for dobes. A slight stop, tight lips, parallel head planes, the skull and the muzzle should be equal in length.

These dogs are UK, not overly thick or thin.

I don't know anything about responsible breeders in the UK but I just wanted to say welcome.
