Your Dobe is gorgeous!! I love this photo! Do you have any straight on? I'm new to this forum, so maybe I just need to look harder to find more of your pics. :)

This last photo was taken at 12 months old & his head seems to have grown a little larger, so the ears look smaller than they did on earlier photos.
The growth of the skull should always be taken into consideration when cropping.
A crop that looks really long as a puppy will not look so long when the dog grows up.

I just got my puppy's ear's cropped and I can't say that I love the way they turned out. I asked for a little curve in the ear but it looks like a straight cut to me. I really like the fancy tip - I think I have seen it referred to as a fwip? I also am not crazy of how forward facing they are. They look like bat ears! I have talked to the vet that did the cropping and I am thinking long and hard if I should have them re-crop or not. Any advice would be great! Should I leave them and hope they look better when she's older or should I have them re-done?Daisy 5.webp

To be honest I would have them re cropped by a different vet.

She is very pretty, but you are right they didn't turn out very well.

any suggestions on vets? I have done some searches online but they all seem the same to me. I don't have any experience on this stuff

I personally don't think they look bad at all, and perhaps if you tried a bit smaller backer rod to get a bit more of a roundness to them it might decrease the bat look a bit. Also, when you're posting make sure you're pulling the ear up on the side of the post, rather than having them facing straight forward. Not sure if that's what you're doing, but if not, it might help. :)
