Crop Pics - Lets see your style!

5 months with a military crop. I am done posting, she had a reaction to the tape i used the last go round and her ears were tore up. Almost like the top layer of skin melted off, it was very strange and heart breaking. So, it is what it is... As long as she is happy and pain free, im okay with what we have. Hahahaha the one of her on the bed i kept calling her stinky, she actually looks offended. HahahaIMAG2334-1.webp IMAG2378-1.webp

when we went to the vet,we told him too, what we wanted and what we don't wanted,oh well, after we got Apollo back,it wasn't like we wanted it,but thats another story here some pic's how he looks now, after posting the ears what seems forever :)

A crop with this kind of problem can be fixed. There is plenty of ear on the left ear, so it can be recropped so it curves in the right spot, or in this case, it will have to be straight to match the right ear. The extra skin at the base of the right ear can be easily taken off. Just for information, he looks fine the way he is, but it 's good to know that it can be fixed.

I just got my puppy's ear's cropped and I can't say that I love the way they turned out. I asked for a little curve in the ear but it looks like a straight cut to me. I really like the fancy tip - I think I have seen it referred to as a fwip? I also am not crazy of how forward facing they are. They look like bat ears! I have talked to the vet that did the cropping and I am thinking long and hard if I should have them re-crop or not. Any advice would be great! Should I leave them and hope they look better when she's older or should I have them re-done?View attachment 27296
I was just playing around with this/ here is a quick mock up of what a recrop might look likedobie recrop mock 1.webp

Wow that definitely looks better! Great job!
Unfortunately she is 6 months old now and I can't bring myself to put her through that again. Especially because I never did find anyone I thought could do it right. I did get in contact with someone that I would have seriously considered, however, after emailing him pictures he never called me back :( The dont look so bad now that she is a little older but they are still not what I wanted. Good thing I love her goofy ears or not lol this is a recent picture of her 2013-12-19 19.37.03.webp

Actually, they look lovely! It really isnt' that critical, but it's fun to see what's possible. On the few adults that I have recropped, recovery time is really minimal since they are already standing. I would leave her alone, also!!!

Thank you. I do love that Crop, looks so elegant! XD
If it's your first time posting I honestly don't recommend a longer show crop since they can be very difficult. A longer medium crop (like I showed with Atticus above) is much easier and you won't have to post for nearly as long. After doing Albert's long show crop, if I ever have to get another pup again it will be a longer medium to make sure they're not such a big job even for someone with experience. :)

Thank you, I will take that on board. I have quite a while before getting a pup so I am just trying to gather as much information as I can :) The advice is greatly appreciated :P

She's beautiful.

My Bruce is going to be 9weeks sat. I'm looking at getting his ears done. Anyone know a nice place in Arizona; and what's the right age? I live west side of Phx. (This is my first post)

Im not sure why the Az peeps here have been shy about using that?

Might maybe start a thread in the introductions section too.

I am trying to find the woman that did my Dobe's ears. All I know is her name is Ellie... she does many Dobermans in Massachusetts. Any info to find her would be greatly appriciated!
