FastCat

Thank you! I completely agree with you!

Great job guys! You're getting out and doing dog things, and i don't want to speak for you, and i know our things are not FASTCAT, but when we get ready to put them into the jobs they do, the whole rest of the world melts away, it's just us remaining, and i hope you and Pepper experience that, or something similar but just as important to you, too.

Thank you! I completely agree with you!
@MichiH
Is this the same puppy traumatized by trash pandas thats finally got tummy sorted?😉

You have done so well by her! You can see how happy she is in that picture!

Are you going for AKC Versatility at some point?

I was looking idly at the Total Dog idea and how to proof that from the AKC/DPCA vs UKC/UDC approach to the process.

Maybe for our next dog, TBD, but also just as fun stuff that Bonnie might like doing now.

See also @Doc on rally
And @Ravenbird on a lot of stuff. And @Katyusharocket and...too many others to mention.

You are all an inspiration!
I see why these dobes dogs become a passion bordering on obsession...there is so much reward in it for the humans, too 😉❤️

You could also go for AKC Fit Dog since things like Fast Cat and other activities like personal hiking all count. My friend got it and worked up to gold with her IG since he loves Fast Cat and they take hikes all the time. There are also other things that count.

Thank you this is really cool. They had fitdog at the FastCAT, but I don’t know much about it.

Yes, my one and only Pepper. She’s a big fan of running and sniffing. I haven’t thought about doing much more, but fit dog does sound interesting.

I will have to look into versatility as well.

We do have a WAE coming up would be fun to pass that last part this time!

I would like to do that with Olive too since she is pretty rock solid on everything. Elroy is too but he's not a great traveler and I believe the nearest ones they have are at least 4 hours away.

I'd like to attend a WAE event just to say we did on BYB Bonnie...
I need to do the paperwork for PAL for AKC, and pay their tax...then find something on the Left Coast.

Or wait until we get to Floriduh and find something similar and fun for the ATT put on by UKC in a Breed Survey

or AWDF. (TT)

Anyone done either, lately?
I'm maybe thinking ahead on as part of training next big dog, so just going with BYB Bonnie would be fun and a way to check out the whole scene.

PS anyone going to Nationals, or knows how to find clips posted online by show sponsor after on WAE? If I can't be there in person I like to learn something by watching videos.

Oops sorry @MichiH got carried away and went OT...will start a new thread!

I'm going to answer this on your new thread - it's more fun discussion. but nothing to do with Fast Cat.

This winter there is going to be a FastCAT event just 10 minutes away from me! I’ve been traveling 2-3.5 hours for events so I’m very excited about having one close to home. I wish they were doing CAT too but beggars can’t be choosers lol.

FastCAT season starts back up next month here, but I probably won’t enter any until closer to November. Remy will earn his DCAT this winter and possibly CAX later in 2027 if we make it to enough events.

Looks like fun!
I had to look up CAT:

And looking further for DCAT found this:

Ok BYB Bonnie...waddaya think?
He loves CAT! I personally prefer it to FastCAT since they get to run further (600 yards vs 100 for FastCAT) and you’re able to get a better view of them running. CAT also typically has shorter lines, which is a bonus for me since Remy turns into a wild beast at events lol. I’ve posted some videos in the past of his screaming. 😆

"Dobe scream" too funny!

How exciting!!! Keep us posted on his stats when he's closing in on his DCAT!

I think they all do if they love the game! Reckless doesn't bark, she comes up the leash and bites because she gets mad I'm holding her back! Asha doesn't squeal or scream she just barks non-stop until she's released. 😅

I know it's a different venue, but our UKC club was approved for precision coursing and lure coursing this year and there is a show coming up in October that's about 45 minutes from here.
