Too much to risk with those temps.
Curious why you think cooler temps are risky? I personally would rather do it when it's cool than too hot. They love to run when it's cool as long as they don't have to stand around all day.

I was thinking we will run early and it’ll be below 16. More prone to injury with it being that cold. Idk am I making that up? 🤷‍♀️ 😂

I honestly don't know the answer to that question but our dogs have never had any trouble with it. Our club does weight pull at the end of January every year when it's sometimes -30 during the day and I don't think they would allow it if it was endangering the dog.

Well if it’s anything like here, the dew makes the grass icy in the morning when it’s that cold, which could probably cause some dog’s to injure their paw pads? Especially the faster dogs.

We probably won’t be able to go to our event this weekend either (a show, not FastCAT) because we are supposed to get a bad ice storm. 🙁

Snow is still on the ground so that’s a good point. We are going to get a storm this weekend too. Bummer.

staying home sounds like the very best idea!
You are correct, 12-18 inches they say of snow and ice.
Oh boy. I agree, staying home is the best option then. Like I recently told someone else, I used to brave that :poop: going to work every day but when I have one or both of our dogs in the vehicle it's a totally different story.

Btw this looks like so much fun! Gonna have to find a place and give it a try with BYB Bonnie who was recently clocked at 25mph (est.) chasing beach birds...
or so I have been told, names and places withheld to preserve the innocent!

Yay!

Great job guys! You're getting out and doing dog things, and i don't want to speak for you, and i know our things are not FASTCAT, but when we get ready to put them into the jobs they do, the whole rest of the world melts away, it's just us remaining, and i hope you and Pepper experience that, or something similar but just as important to you, too.
