    2yo M w/ Random (fear/overexcited?) aggression

You need to bring a professional into your home to see the behavior. There is probably something happening that you can’t see. But since he doesn’t move just growls and snaps. My first thought is he’s guarding something. How did you react to his snapping at you? And then what did he do?

Teaching obi to bark on command

@Ravenbird is correct. Your dog barking for a piece of cheese is a different bark than a frustration bark or defensive bark. Different emotions in the dog. You’re looking to capture the emotion.

    Crate recommendations for the car?

I went back and read the post it didn’t mention the brand of crate. But I have Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups and a ruffland large is the only kennel that will easily fit in the back of the cab. I think a dog being in a bigger crate is more dangerous than a tighter fitting crate. (More space to allow...

    Crate recommendations for the car?

I just read a crazy story from a prominent poster on a shepherd forum. He owns three sport dogs, he was traveling somewhere two were crated in the bed of the truck. And the third was crated in the back seat. He was involved in an accident on the highway. And the two crates with dogs that were...

Critters and wildlife in your area - post your pics

Do rats count as wildlife? My shop and property is overrun nowadays with no farming happening within a mile of me. No farming means the ground isn’t being turned up and breaking the cycle of rodents and keeping the population down. I heard Stassi drinking out of her water bowl and then a rat...

What are some ways to train a guard dog without mistreating them?

What’s a guard dog without at least some level of aggression? Also with a truly territorial or protective dog. The positive reinforcement for the dog is being able to run off or get to the intruder. The act of confronting the person is the reward.

    Bumps on chin?

Trying bowls from another material can work. Also try washing the bowls after every feeding and washing her chin also. Another thing that might help is feeding with a slow feeder bowl. They don’t bury their chin to the bottom of the bowl with those.

    Seizures

Is your dog on phenobarbital? Is the prescribed medicine preventing the seizures? I have experience with dogs having seizures, but I would like some more info before I give my experience. How long and how often has your dog been experiencing seizures?

    “Very, very high”…

Yeah 180mg is a lot. If the average person that had never taken edibles took 180mg that would be a life changing experience for sure. Too bad your dog can’t talk they might have figured out the meaning of life and the secrets of the universe through their experience lol I don’t want to assume...

    “Very, very high”…

How many milligrams was 9 gummies? And how much does she weigh? I know people constantly say that it’s poisonous to canines and not to give it to them. But that’s probably one of the most untrue things I’ve read on forums.

    Pepper 🌶️

@MichiH disclaimer I’m not a vet in any way. But when Stassi eats something that upsets her GI. What I found gets her back to normal quicker is to stop giving her any food. Purging her system so to speak. After 24 hrs of no food I start off with an 1/8th of her daily kibble rations. Then a 1/4...

Dog Jolly Ball vs horse Jolly Ball

No I haven’t noticed any tooth wear. But I don’t let her chew on it. She just throws it and swings it around.
