I haven't watched that one, but most anything ME teaches is good stuff. As mentioned in that intro, out for bite sports might be a different approach than for play.

side question: Would you guess his dog trainer school is between 30-50 grand?

I think he had a week or 10 day, maybe it was longer - training for owners to bring their puppy to that I looked at about 5 years ago when mine was that age - can't recall exactly, maybe 3 thousand, not including your motel accommodations or meals. I have terrible CRS (can't remember sh!t) so don't quote me on that. I do remember thinking about the amount plus motel, meals, two days to drive each way, and realized I absolutely didn't have it in the budget. He doesn't have anything listed for "in person events" on that website link above, but that's where I found it way back when.

Yes some of those very popular trainers are out of my budget too when you add it all up. Even hiring judges for a show adds up when you figure in airfare/travel, meals, the judging cost and a hotel. At least a couple of them have been good about sharing an Airbnb and in most cases they are less costly than a hotel.
