“Very, very high”…

Although I was devastated that it happened, I wanted to share our experience in hopes that someone else might avoid it happening to them. I have nasty osteoarthritis that makes my sleep very difficult. Since marijuana is now legal here, and all else has failed, I started taking a THC gummy at night for sleep. It has worked amazingly well. The issue is that I left the little closed container beside my chair on a table. My husband was in the room, but Sasha managed to grab the container and eat the 9 remaining gummies. I called the area emergency services. They said that the most toxic ingredient of concern is Xylitol, which is not in these gummies. We were told to monitor and that she would just be “very very high”. She also said she gets the same call 5 or 6 times a week! I was terrified. She was unsteady on her feet, weaving and jerking at the smallest movement in the room. Eventually she could not walk and was jerking in her sleep, felt cool to touch and eyes looked…stoned. It took 24 hrs for her to walk again. She ate and drank finally today. Tonight she is back to normal. Thank God. I hope this information is a reminder to folks how quickly these things can happen. These pups are so attentive and they want to explore everything we touch, including our medications. Stay safe.

How many milligrams was 9 gummies? And how much does she weigh? I know people constantly say that it’s poisonous to canines and not to give it to them. But that’s probably one of the most untrue things I’ve read on forums.

Yeah 180mg is a lot. If the average person that had never taken edibles took 180mg that would be a life changing experience for sure.
Too bad your dog can’t talk they might have figured out the meaning of life and the secrets of the universe through their experience lol
I don’t want to assume but your original post sounds like you’ve never experienced 180mg in one dose?

Holy moly... 180mg!! Ya that's scary. Glad she came out of that ok!! I bet she's still feeling high for a few days lol

Wow I'm glad she's starting to do better. I have some CBD chewables for the dogs and they came in what looks like a treat bag so I have them really tucked away in the back of our pantry.

Never experienced edibles till a month ago! Does what happened in 1975 count?

Well, CBD without THC gave Kaiser energy, so maybe I should check out these gummies LOL, just kidding! Glad to hear she is ok.

Because this would freak me out 😧

THC 20mg each, so 180mg.
Oh my! 😂
The usual dose is 10mg in the gummies.
I guess dogs do have a faster metabolism than people do.
if me or you ate that many at one time we’d be just as the title of the thread suggests but we’d be walking in the morning.
Right after we came down from floating on the ceiling.

Somehow this thread reminds me of this guy

Joking aside here. The weed and products with it can be very potent. It won’t kill you but you might think it will.
As with any mind altering substance it needs to be handled and stored responsibly.
As someone that indulges myself I can tell you today’s products are WAY! stronger than it was in decades past. It’s a natural progression of purposeful breeding and genetics.

It’s great that some people can get relief from an ailment through a more natural source vs chemicals and big pharma.

I will say, it was so scary and she was so bewildered. I could not have felt worse. She is standing here now with her head in my lap. Thankfully well and enjoying ear rubs. (😁@Wildwood weed)
