I always say 'about" because it wasn't accurate due to me ahing to tale string or something to measure , then rest it against the tape to find the right height.
What is considered supersized? What would that size weigh-in at?
Height at the withers: Dogs 26 to 28 inches, ideal about 27½ inches; Bitches 24 to 26 inches, ideal about 25½ inches.

For height measurements, I usually wait until they're standing naturally and sort of compare it with a window sill, table, or what ever is close to the right size, and measure the table or whatever to get a closer reading. It can really vary when you're trying to do it on a moving animal, so measuring the still thing is a lot easier....
That reminds me, I forgot to weigh Della this week....
I know it's harder on a puppy but I take a ruler and line the dog/pup up to the wall and lay the ruler across the shoulders and push against the wall (and hold it there)as quickly as possible...when the dog/pup moves away, measure from the floor to where the ruler is against the wall.
If you really want to get an accurate measurement, you can always use a level on their back and mark it from there.
Like the one you measure horses with!
