How To Post With Breathe Right Strips

But last weekend when he was out for a day the one tip got a little floppy. (you can see in this picture).
Being that it's only flipping at the tip the BR should help. The big thing is to make sure the weight of the BR doesn't make the whole thing droop. If it does that means you need to use regular posts a little longer. Handsome boy!

thank you :) Good point, I hope it doesn't do that but I will be sure to watch for any drooping.

@Archer

I've two questions, please. First one, what isthe nail polish remover for? Do you use it for removal, to clean the ear once the strips fall off? Secondly, I think I saw something on another post about using fake eyelash adhesive...are they basically the same thing? Is one preferable to the other?
Thanks in advance for your help. :)

@DeniseA yes, the polish remover is for taking off the nail glue. I actually have found that eyelash glue works better for the BRS. I need to update this thread :) I like the DUO brand of eyelash glue.

How old is your boy again? He might be too young to use BRS

Duo is my favorite for myself lol ;)

Addie is coming up on seven months, well, on the 16th. I'm still posting him but we're driving into the city today ( don't get in often ) so was thinking I'd pick up what's needed while I'm there. We were discussing this just recently, he hold his ears erect constantly when unposted but they wave when he runs. I'm planning on posting until the end of the monthat least and reassessing then.

Ah, yes planning in advance is alway good, especially when you have to drive a bit when running errands :)

I'm going to switch to this tomorrow... One thing I'm concerned about is can he crush his ears in these ?

With the breath strips can they smush their ears if they roll on them ? I want to switch but also want to make sure he can't smush his ears and end up giving us a set back ...

If the cartilage is firming up enough, even if they do smush them they should go right back into shape when they get off the ear. Albert was/is notorious for sleeping on his back and of course on his one ear. I think when we first tried going with just BR's his ear did droop (not flop) a bit after doing that, so we continued posting more.
This is still how Albert sleeps all the time and it obviously doesn't affect the stance anymore.

If you are at the stage where it's appropriate to switch to BRS and you aren't starting prematurely then crushing them shouldn't be a problem as at this point you are just dealing with the tips.

Ok he's 9 months and will be ten months the 27th. His base is nice and solid just the tips are a wiggly. I'm pretty sure they will always have some wiggle to them.

Lol that's my biggest concern Ares loves to sleep on his back ... I guess I'll try it and if it droops I'll take it off and post the normal way.

Ok so if I'm just dealing with the tips I'm in the clear to use the breathe right strips ... This is my understanding ?

Yes, if it's just the tips you should be fine. Like you said, if they start drooping you'll know it's not quite time yet.

Well the kind I bought are clear and crappy so I had to double them up but do these look ok ? I sent my fiancé to get the better ones but do these work ok for right now ?image.jpg

Looks fine to me. I actually like the thinner ones for this purpose since they're less likely to weigh the ear down.
