Wagmo health insurance

Has anyone here had any experience with Wagmo. So far they seem to have the best rates. My blue girl Savannah is two years old now and needs a buddy
so I'm adding an 8 week old Euro male next week. Double trouble.
If you don't use Wagmo I would welcome any feedback on other companies.
Thanks,
Jim G

So glad you're looking into insurance but as I'm sure you've discovered, there are A LOT of things to consider.

For me, most importantly, is whether the plan covers just emergencies or if it also covers routine care. If you've already budgeted for routine care and are looking for just emergency coverage, I believe you will find more and cheaper options.

I'm not asking to be nosey but if you work for a large company, you may be able to get discounts through some sort of agreement they may have with a pet insurance provider. We have Nationwide and were able to get amazing rates through my husbands pervious employer. Even though he no longer works with that company, our discounts are good for the life of the dogs as long as there isn't a lapse in coverage.

I love our Nationwide policy but I think we've been grandfathered in with exceptional coverage so can't speak too much to their current offerings.

I know a lot of folks here have pet insurance with different providers who I'm sure will chime in!

I have been happy with Embrace.
Have used and been reimbursed for two abdominal obstruction surgeries and mushroom poisoning.

We use PetSecure but if I was adding a new pup, I'd be looking into Costco's pet insurance. Depending on how much you value the convenience, some vets can direct bill on your behalf so you don't have to do the paperwork yourself. I would also like it if the insurance provider would direct deposit instead of sending paper checks.

I'm looking at Embrace now and I like what I see so far. I have to double back on Wagmo to look at the coverage again.
One of the biggest cons to Wagmo is you can't reach anyone by phone, only internet. That in itself is a strike against them.
Good advice about discounts with my own healthcare provider too. I'm an Aetna customer and they do offer pet insurance.
I'm trying to get details on that too.

The things I liked about Embrace was:
-they reimburse genetic disorders like DCM
-you can choose reimbursement %
-if you don’t file a claim, your deductible decreases yearly
-I talk to a person everytime and they have been very nice and helpful during sign up and during reimbursement of claims.

There are probably some cheaper ones out there but I really like their no nonsense bullshite.

I use Embrace through USAA. Pretty happy with it and already have used it once. Fortunately nothing wrong but having the ability to use it to make sure without worrying about the financial side as much is a relief!

This is so true! We never hesitate or second guess any care because we know we're covered
