The breed standard for AKC and FCI states that male dobermans should be about 28 inches at the shoulder maximum. Flint is 5.5 months old... and he is 24" at the shoulder.
Is 6 months old truly the "half way grown" point? Because if he is truly only almost 50% done growing then I should be able to ride him to work in another 6 months. I haven't weighed him in a bit but I'd wager he's about 45 - 50lbs right now too. He's not fat at all. He has a nice tucked tummy and I can see his ribs just a bit.
Does the tallness slow down after 6 months or am I about to end up with Goliath reborn?
