When do male dobermans stop growing? Am I crazy?

I swear I measured Flint at about a year old and he was 27.5 inches at the shoulder. He is almost a year and a half and I noticed over the passed week or so that he looked a little skinnier than normal. I feed him the same amount of food and if anything we have exercised less lately because I've been preparing for the holidays and have had trouble sleeping.

I measured him today and he was 29 inches at the shoulder. Did I maybe measure him wrong before??

I know males put on muscle until about 2 or 3 but I didn't expect him to get any taller at this point.

I think it's possible with males, even though ours are usually done growing height wise at around a year. I swear Olive has gotten a little bigger too and she's over a year and a half. It will be interesting to see what she weighs at an appointment next month.
