Posting dilemma

I have tried many different posting methods but whether I use 3/8, 1/2 or 5/8 Backer Rod my puppy constantly gets her left ear post out. No matter how freaking deep I shove and twist it in. It is really frustrating. I have even resorted to putting a cone on her most of the time and especially in her crate. I do use a bridge as well.

How old is she again? I normally use 3/8" and double wrap it in duct tape. Maybe it would help to use the Torbot's adhesive.
