Our shelter is temporarily closed to the public because some idiots dropped off a box of puppies with parvo.
Obviously staff is still coming in because there are lots of animals that need care. Some people came in yesterday to surrender their dog. They were told that we are not taking in any animals because of the parvo. Well this morning the first staff member arrived to find Frannie tied to the door. These people were given a list of shelter that could take her, but noooooooo! they had to tie her up in a sweater to the door.
Because we don't have her vaccination records she can't stay at the shelter. So she is staying here untill she can find a more permanent home.
She's the cutest little thing and her cup runs over with sass.

She's tiny, I think they said 6 pounds with 200 pounds of attitude.

One got a smaller dog, a pug, so maybe that's what she needed all along. Although I still don't think she puts the time in on the dog. And the other one got a Burmese mountain dog from a foster. They barely had it a year and it died of cancer. Then they fostered a Irish Wolfhound for a while and gave it back.
I heard someone in the grocery line talking about just starting out with snakes....they keep them in a rubbermaid container! AND he wants to start breeding them!!!! I may be the only one on here who likes snakes; but even if you don't...they don't belong in a plastic box no bigger than themselves. I don't really like zoo's either....
