Drumroll, well, almost!

image.webpView attachment 102616 We are home again and I am certainly in love already. More to come, right now we are all exhausted after 28 hours round trip in three days, 14 of it with the new princess, who was actually as good as I could expect. She had one yelling episode in the hotel, and a few short bursts in the car, otherwise slept most of the time. She will be a handful though, when she's awake, by George you know it!

Holy crap, whered you go?
LOL, I can't recall who said it on here, but they recommended when looking for your puppy, don't let distance get in the way. So I didn't. I use to do cross country road trips all the time, truck & trailer with horses, so the milage didn't bother me. What's hard is being in your 60's instead of 30's doing it. :D
Going to be a live wire shortly
Is already. Awake is AWAKE!

I haven't completely decided on a name yet, the breeder has named her & I like it just fine, but I had come up with a couple of other call names, so want to give it a few days before deciding. Yup, it's all real now!

I also had a long road trip with Jazz as a new puppy. It is actually really good bonding time, so much going on they don't seem to miss their litter mates and mum so much! Sounds like she is a good little traveler too! Waiting on all the cute puppy pics to come! :woot2:

I wasn't in my 60's (close) when we picked up Rumor. We drove from the St. Louis area to O'Hare. Not too bad of a drive, right?
WRONG! What made it horrible was her flight didn't get in until 7-8:00 p.m. on the day before Christmas Eve. Traffic in Chicago was horrible and it was snowing. Actually getting her was easy so homeward bound we were pretty quickly. The plan was to stop about half way and spend the night in a hotel to give Rumor a chance to really stretch her legs and eat. We checked in and the place was horrible! Dirty and smelled awful! So we decided to drive on after letting Rue walk around a bit. We got home at about 5 am on Christmas Eve to both of my kids here waiting to meet the Princess. Of course Hubby went off to bed while I stayed up with a pup that slept in the car. She was ready to play with her new brother Drake. Introductions went well so I started getting ready for the houseful of people that would be there in a few hours. No sleep, a houseful of family, along with my cousins crazy boyfriend and a new pup that was fired up and ready to explore her new home. Best/worst day of my life.
.........the things we will endure for our dogs.

I was just shy of 64 when I got my twins.
I was so thankful that I had a job and lifestyle that kept me physically fit otherwise it would have been a whole lot worse.
They keep me on my toes and on the go all the time but I absolutely love it.
Of course there are days that I would love to stay in bed until 6:30 or 7am but unless I am sick those days don’t happen.

It’s a fun and rewarding adventure no matter your age!

It's for sure doable! I was mainly referring to long driving hours, but now long puppy hours are catching up with me! I'd love to nap when she does, but I have to do all the things I can't get done when she's up!! She is definitely going to be high drive, needs a job kind, which is what I wanted. Pictures soon, I'll start a new thread later.
Signed,
