They look great.this was last Saturday at a friend’s store,
Very true, but good and bad...........bad as in they are hard to get, good as in more people are buying them. But then I am a true optimist, when the glass is half full, I fill it all the way..LOLThey look great.
Side note, but those guns being in stock is a rare sight to see these days.
Love that look, but may I ask exactly what length you would consider that? I typically prefer medium to long, but that is absolutely stunning!
I would say a medium long crop but it does vary depending on the dogs ear cartilage. What crop is the best for a beginner would you say?
That's what I thought! I actually like a crop based on how it fits a particular dog, but that is almost impossible to tell at an early age! But I tend to like it slightly curved outward towards the tip.I would say a medium long crop but it does vary depending on the dogs ear cartilage.
I love the curves that you posted here too. It's an older style and since I'm older (LOL), it's still my favorite. The style now is longer and straight and very little bell. Personally what you've posted in these 8 pictures is exactly what I'd want. Breeders - especially for show dogs - will lean toward what is the trend in the show ring, and likely not be swayed to change.I have quite an obsession with this look
Well never fear! I'm only seventeen and still prefer that look! But I'm honestly not fad or trend follower! I like what I think enhances the physical features of the person or dog! Personally, I think that look fits most Dobermans the best! But I understand that 'your' preference may not be what you get! Anyway, we shall see!!I love the curves that you posted here too. What a beautiful Doberman! Her ears fit her face almost perfectly! Here’s Stassi my 8 month old. Her left ear tip isn’t exactly where I want it yet. So we are still posting. Cropper took a little more off the left side bell. That’s probably what’s giving me the trouble. View attachment 118034View attachment 118035View attachment 118037View attachment 118036
Don’t mention her puppy acne she’s self conscious about it.
You have beautiful dogs! I looked over your website and loved your dogs! Although, I prefer a slightly longer crop (just because it allows the curve I love), your dogs have a certain air about them that is only accented by the shorted ears. I always say that the Dobie is an elegant dog, but yours have a slightly more 'stern' 'beware' type of expression! That is probably what they were meant to look like originally anyway!I got my first Doberman in 1979, back when Dobermans had traditional ear crops, before the loooong, show crop started.
I like the shorter crop, and believe me, they are SOOOOO much easier on the dog (think 3" wound versus 8" wound) and also so much quicker to stand. I usually only have to wrap about 3 to 4 weeks. But, to each his own. Here are some of mine.
Wow! It's a longer crop, but definitely enhances the her look! I've never been a huge fan a red and rust, but she is gorgeous? Is she Euro line? I saw this 'blue' and rust Doberman today that was also really eye-catching! Truly a lovely dog! Those are styles I really like and similar to Phoebe's and her sister Ripley's. I haven't tried to take any specific photos of Phoebe's crop style yet, but this one sort of shows it.
