2024 goals for Katyusha

2 visits in 2 days, today and yesterday. Yesterday we went to the home just a few blocks away from mine. The residents had a nice cold sausage with cheese tray, and one of them asked me if Katy could have some. "well, okay, just one". Then the Czech lady wheeled in, grabbed a bunch of stuff off the tray and turned towards the dogs. Katy went for it and I said "Katyusha, no, that is not for you!" the Czech lady turned and looked me square and said "it is for her". I stood corrected while she fed my dog some premium cuts from the happy hour plate.

Today was our second visit at the town next door. We had two other dogs join us this time. Both Bloodhounds. I learned things about blood hounds today that i never would have guessed.... here is a pic from the same facility, but on out previous visit, via the facility's facebook page.

It just makes me so happy seeing her smile in this photo!

Well, the CGC evaluator got back to me and wants to test Katyusha on August 24th. We are testing right after we work the same nursing home therapy event. Katyusha will be calm (I hope) from the mental stimulation of the event itself and the dogs that will be used in the evaluation are dogs coming from the same event, which Katyusha sees often but already knows darn well she isn't ever allowed to greet them (minimum of 2 feet distance between therapy dogs at any event, ever).

Part of this almost feels like cheating

Better get to polishing on the other parts!
