Not sure if have pockets or not!

Hey all, so I have a 12 month old Dobie male, imported from Serbia! He has a long show crop so the posting process has been a long journey and is still going! I'm wondering whether he has pockets as his ears tip inward slightly after being down for a bit, but it's more of a crease in the ear...

Day after cropping ears oozing and bad odor, HELP!

Hi everyone, This is our second dobie and we're still learning. We got our first dobie from the breeder at 12 weeks and he was already healed up and posted from his crop. He was very tolerant of our posting. We got our newest addition at a younger age and we took him to the ear cropping...

Picking up my new puppy and need advice on his ears

Hi! I’m new here. So my puppy is going to be 12 weeks old on Sunday. I’m picking him up tomorrow. His ears have already been cropped. It doesn’t look like they did a good job, does it? I prefer a medium length crop, but this puppy is coming already cropped. I only have one vet near me (though...

    Bumps on ears

Hello! I am posting my 5 month dobermans ears. I went to take the tape off and found some gunk on her ear. When I cleaned it these bumps were present. Only one ear has them and I always make sure to not tape tightly. I have been using athletic tape.

    Cropping in PNW

Hello there, new Doberman owner here. I’m picking up my little fella in two weeks and he will be coming natural. I’d like to find a vet in Oregon, Washington, possibly Idaho who is skilled at cropping and docking. If anyone can let me know of a good vet/clinic I would really appreciate it. I’m...

    Cropped Ears Folded

She was cropped at just about 2 months old and is now 7 months old. I was diligent about posting, but I also have an 8 month old German Shepherd who is fixated on removing her posts at every chance he can get. So I've often reposted several times throughout the week over the past several months...

    Posting Pockets

Hello all This might not be the right place to post this as I am new here. I have an almost 6 month old Euro Puppy. I got his ears done at 11 weeks, and the vet did an amazing job with the surgery. However, I feel like their posting method was not as good. They had us post with the tape only...

    CROPPED EAR OUT OF BANDAGE

Hello all, One of our dobie boys had his ears cropped exactly one week ago today, and while he was shaking his head, one of his ears slipped out of the bandaging from the vet. We are obviously going to try to take him to the vet tomorrow to get it re-wrapped professionally, but we aren’t sure...

    HELP! SOMETHING IN DOGS EAR

I was in the process of cleaning my puppies ear when I spotted something that looked (at first) like it was just a piece of skin but then I looked closer and it appeared to maybe have some sort of liquid inside. It is hard but squishy and it’s not able to pop, any idea what it could be?

    keep uncropped ears flat

Hi I don't want my doberman to have outlying ears. What I use is pharmacy patch (long one like a adhesive tape). I stick a pice inside to the ears skin and then one patch outside so it all firmly pulls ears close to the head. I was wondering if anyone had different method. thanks in...

    Ear Cropping Q

just had the second visit to the vet and had some questions maybe someone can clear up for me. The vets method for my dogs cropping is to bandage her up the first week to prevent bleeding and popping out a stitch(first pic), then undoing the bandage and letting them air out for a second week...

What type of crop does he have?

What type of crop does my dobie have? I know there is medium pet crop and military and show? He is 7 months now and his left ear still falls over and has a bad pocket. This was a rare moment of them both standing up. Is it too late to fix the left ear?

    Chronic Yeast Infection in ears

Vet wants to start Aloquel for chronic yeast infection in ears. I've read it can cause demodicidosis and she already has bumps in different areas... flank areas and top of head. She eats grainfree TOTW salmon. Add coconut oil too. What should I do?
