Since we've been home Kali has been keeping herself pretty isolated. Instead of sleeping and spending most of the day by the breakfast room window in her bed, she's been in our bedroom on the opposite side of the house. Well, today was sort of a breakthrough. ,
I have her crate on my side of our bed along with her calming bed next to it. She sleeps in one or the other every night. Since Annie has been home she has slept on the other side of the house.

Either sleeping in the breakfast room or family room all night. I move Annie's crate into our bedroom for the night, not far from Kali's bed. So it seems Kali is always as far away from Annie as possible.
Last night Kali slept in the family room but she was the one who gave a soft bark at 4:15 this morning to go out! Annie slept all night from about 9:00 on! I was in a pretty deep sleep myself when I thought I heard Annie. I got up and I can see Kali sitting there and I realized it was
her that made the sound. She never really
barks to go out but makes more of a moaning or soft bark. LOL Hard to describe it.
So I thought wow, okay! Let's all go outside! So I got Annie out of her crate and we all went outside. I brought them inside and they both ate and then we all went outside again. Kali disappeared somewhere while Annie and I played for a bit and then she fell asleep in my arms. She thinks she's a lap dog.
Then I went to get dressed and Kali was back in the room again! I was very surprised. She hasn't actually come out on her own without me calling her for 2 days. So the three of us went for a little walk and even though Annie is a little rude and obnoxious LOL Kali kind of put up with her and probably snapped at her once or twice when she was really obnoxious. And that set the stage.

It was good.
My husband and I had everything mowed before we left for KY. But then we got all that rain and oh my God the grass is so freaking long! And of course I usually do a lot of mowing during the day when hubby is gone but now I can't because I have a baby.
So he cut some of it last night and took off today so he is out there mowing as we speak.

Thank God because is so annoying with small dogs! It's some of it's almost over Annie's head! That's long! But they trudged through it and we walked all the way to the back of the property and back to the house and around the driveway.

So Annie's been sleeping for the last hour or two! That's what happened yesterday in the evening. She was out with us for a long time. And she slept through the night! Lots of fresh air.
But I'm really glad to see Kali out with us more now. She doesn't like when Annie runs at her but just for her to make an appearance was great! She probably missed our walks!
