Well, I'll tell ya, I think Annie's going to make a great watchdog!

There was a video I took of her when she was first here, very young. I was holding her in my arms and my husband was coming home in the dark. She growled as he walked up the stairs.

She didn't know it was my husband. She just saw someone in the dark. I always thought that it was a good indication that she had a suspicious nature, maybe? Or protective? I'm not sure what! But I thought she was quite young to be growling out the window in the dark. As soon as he came in, she became her Wiggly Self, recognizing my husband.
There has been other times that she where she has alerted that impressed me too. One was when she was in our sunroom and I was coming up the stairs from the basement. (I dont know how she heard me!) She heard something, whether it was just me walking or maybe I said something, I don't remember. But she came running to the stairs, barking! She quickly settled when she saw it was me.

But I was like, ooookay! I like it! Alerts to sounds and barking! LOL. If it was stranger danger that's what I'd want.
So few minutes ago Annie and I were in the kitchen, my husband was outside taking down Christmas lights and he came in the front door. (Quite a bit from where Annie and I were) She went flying! And barking! I was like, what the hell is going on? I go to the front to see and there's my husband playing with her and barking back at her!

LOL I said wow, she heard that door open and she went flying! Good Dog!
And speaking of protection,
@Oh Little Oji I saw a video short of a Cane Corso coming out on the back deck when it saw four Intruders coming into the backyard. It was pretty cool. The dog just ran out onto the deck and stopped. Three of the men ran and the guy closest to the dog just backed away slowly with the dog slowly approaching. The man was saying, good dog, good dog LOL the dog didn't make a sound, didn't rush the men but his presence was menacing. I thought of you right away!
