i went to our first conformation class last night. We have already been thru basic manners/obedience class and Taser did fine with that. Last night he was a holy terror!!! When it was our turn in the ring with the instructor, Taser lost all focus. He started jumping on me and grabbing his leash, and trying to play tug. I could not redirect him or regain his focus - all he wanted to do was act like an out of control maniac. He is only 4 months old so I guess I will forgive him this time I was so embarrassed with his behavior - all the other dogs were perfect angels of course! Oh well - back to obedience class tonight - hope it goes better than last night.....‍

A Doberman puppy causing embarrassment? Never!

Our first obedience class we were walking in a circle. Kaiser started pooping while walking. His poops never used to be solid back then, so ya. Then all the dogs started pooping!

But now it’s hilarious!

My wife just shakes her head at me because she knows I am beaming with pride when we go out in public.

Yes, many embarrassing moments with my pups. I would say that at times I embarrassed them by looking like a fool trying to get them to do something like going over a 1ft jump and trying to jump it myself to get them to follow me, only to trip over the jump because I was looking at them.
They happily ran over and looked at me like I had a serious problem.
It’s a two way street at our house. Lol

When my male was about 4 months old we took him to home depot and he back up in between the lumber racks and pooped haha. That was pretty embarrassing lol.

Kaiser pooped in the middle of a street once. He used to have a preference for the yard instead of on walks, so when he was finally squatting on the street I was too conflicted to stop him. This was back when he produced large volume dumps too. Then I realized I didn’t have any poop bags, oops. When I came back someone had driven over it

My first Doberman squatted and pooed on stage in the middle of a performance. My fault, as in all the stress and rigamarole of things I had not given him a chance to. One of the judges remarked: "Now I guess we know why you named him Magnum!"

Oji here? I say part of his job is to embarrass me.

Lol he did it in private at Home Depot but some people got a little rude ha but my dog is a weirdo he will back up into bushes and things and deposit his poop. I think he’s a fecal marker haha.

Actually, that backing up into the bushes to drop a dookie can come in handy when, say, you're on a hike in a not very populated area. No fuss. No muss.

Happy to report that we went to obedience class last night and he was a perfect angel
I am thinking he was a bit “hangry” at the conformation class - it went a bit later than his normal evening feeding time. We all get a little “ornery” when we are hungry and tired! LOL. If I get the courage up to show my face at the class next week, I will let you know how it goes!

He's still a baby and will learn to relax when he gets more familiar with the routine!

We've been training agility for over two years and there are times we go out there and Rubie acts like she's never seen a jump or weave poles in front of slews of people. And judges. Barsetters. Record keepers. you get the idea

The biggest thing Della has done is burp real loud not showing she's doing it so everyone stares at me because I did it in a crowded room full of people .

Something similar happened to me before with my dog... He literally shat in the middle of the store hallway and my god could you smell it throughout the store...LOL
