I don't know you deal with it.@Viemarangelrock Absolutely!! It is very frustrating for me but I have to remake it and hope it lasts for at least an hour!
With these two I have to pick my battles.

Mine Does This When I tell her the down command !I'm starting a thread, sorry if there is one, where we can talk about things that our dobies do that most dogs don't. In my first week of beginners Rally class when I asked Gretchen to lay down she brought both paws up in the air and slapped the ground (like she always does, I thought it was just a Gretchen thing). My instructor started laughing and she said "That is such a Doberman thing, they all slap the ground when they lay down!"
Feel free to add your own "It's a dobie thing" to the list!
This is such a cat thing lol. When ascending or descending stairs together, your Dobe will cut you off, walking diagonally in front of you.
I don't take kindly to my Dobe doing that, and they definitely will. I wear flip flops around the house and it can actually damage them.As the saying goes, Grace gives me at least one flat tire per day!
Yes, actually I really don't like it when Oji starts out behind me when we descend stairs. Our staircase is probably steeper than would meet today's codes. I definitely have our daughter get to the bottom of the stairs before allowing Oji to go down them. This is such a cat thing lol.
Without telling me, my hb taught K to always be behind us, like door manners. In my mind, being behind us is a dangerous place for him to be because he can knock us down if he felt there was need to bypass us.
This made me giggle. They are such freaking weirdos...OH, that is the fear isn't it? To come back to damaged upholstery? Man, that would suck!
We actually, amazingly and perhaps unadvisedly, trusted little Oji in our "new" car for like 3 or 4 minutes on our road trip recently. This is our first car with leather too. We went into a SubWay restaurant to allow us to decide what to order. I came back out and Oji wasn't spazzing out and most importantly didn't seem to have bitten the headrests right in front of his face. I did, one time, see him bite the inside of the door of our other car when I simply shut him in there and walked a step away from the car.

Yeah, they're not wiggly waggly dogs. Does yours have a full tail? I forget. I will get situation-appropriate slow wagging of Oji's little nub. Rarely, it is a fast wag.I didnt read the whole topic but does it sound familiar when I say that Ace doesnt wag his tail a lot? He does act happy, dances around and comes cuddling enthousiasticly but he doesnt wag his little tail often. Maybe once a day, if not less. Is it a Dobie thing?
I'm surprised at the answers so far. This needs to be its own thread!I didnt read the whole topic but does it sound familiar when I say that Ace doesnt wag his tail a lot?
