KD's father is Rio OD Stevanovica. I hope he is safe!

Most my dogs are close to Maxim's age so he's not in any of their pedigrees but you can bet maxim isn't finished sire-ing litters. That's the golden goose here.. I'm almost certain Dejon has some frozen baby maxims he will use at some point.

IF, and I don't know if its true, but IF he was poisoned by a competitor, this is not someone who truly loves dogs. They only love the fame, money and notoriety that comes with competing.

According to info shared by someone from Serbia, medical explanation for cause of death was snail poison..how it happened is still a mystery..
Did he eat poisoned snails or did someone use snail poison deliberately in food and baited him??

It's absolutely disturbing if this awesome sire was deliberately poisoned ! It's bad enough that we as owners and Breeders struggle to defend and support the rights of this awesome breed, but to think that there is a possibility one of are own breed admirers/representatives took this dog out with such contempt in order to eliminate competition is absurd and should be punished with the maximum !

Dully noted. And I too am merely speculating or shall I say, suspicious. I also read the article on FB and my first thought was exactly that, suspicion of intentional poisoning. It is what it is and it's a great loss for the Doberman world and I hope the truth behind his death is revealed.

Well I would hope they preserved some of Maxim's sperm! He was awesome but we'll never know his longevity now.
