Doberman puppy owners - track your weight gain here

I'm still a bit bummed on the inaccurate measurements I got from about 6.5-10 months because of the liver infection. The height was right but her weight was going up and down like a roller coaster! So, for me it's interesting to see what that should've been like with other pups (assuming they turn out roughly the same height/weight as her).

You measure to the withers (shoulders), from the ground up. A good way to do it is with a yard/meter stick to line up beside them, then a ruler across the top of their shoulders just below the neck to get an accurate measurement.

I'm supposed to update today - it's Ashra's 11 month milestone, I went to the vet nearby but they don't seem to have a functioning scale (it's like a metal thing on a tiny scale and if you move, it changes). The result: Ashra weighs somewhere between 24kg and 31kg (52-68lb). I will have to get her weighed properly once I get to Germany (and give her a general check up anyway). She's still around 63cm / just a bit under 25" tall.

This is Ashra's thinking look:DSC_1716.webp

Archer's 8 month (32 week 4 day) measurements

Height: 27.5" (I think he's all leg right now)
Weight: 71#
Length: 27.75" (From withers to tail base)

...and a goofy picture. He's chewing on his Bully stick, which apparently takes some concentration. When he's done, he lays on his couch :)

Weighed today at the vet, Ashra is not exactly the picture of health at the moment. She's got explosive diarrhea all of a sudden . I think it may have been something she chewed/ate from the ground, seeing as yesterday and the day before her poop was soft but still okay with the food change. Hope it's not worms... I've dewormed her anyway, though.

I am looking at this and my girl appears to be big.

at 9 weeks - she was 12 lbs
at 12 weeks - 20 lbs
at 27 weeks - 51.1 lbs
