What is it with the misinformation these days?

I'm so sick of all the misinformation out there these days and I know a lot of it is clickbait. I'm in a couple house plant groups on FB and some of the recommendations are downright laughable.

Do these people not realize that some of the top fastcat dogs don't have speeds anywhere near that?

He's just a guy with a middle management shirt and a YouTube channel. It bothers me how loud his voice has become in the dobesphere. He presents himself as an expert, when his credentials are: owning 2 dobermans (one which is too anxious to be on camera) and a crappy logo.

I think the fastest dog ever recorded was a greyhound name Star something or maybe something Star? I think the dog ran like 41. something, almost 42 mph. The only reason I know that is because I took Drake out to Purina Farms when they had an event you could take your dog to see what they exceled and what they liked to do. It's a pretty cool event where they set up every dog sport you can think of and owners let their dog go for it. We tried most of them, mostly for s&g's but the running sports is where he exceled. I think it was lure corsing where one of the instrutors said that she thought he could break some records. That's when she told me about the greyhound. Of course a dog could be faster but that was the fasted offical speed.

I'm not sure if I care for "dog races" though, where they all race around the track to an "electric rabbit" keeping the pace on the track rail. I'm reminded of a Bugs Bunny cartoon about that very subject where Bugs gets ticked at the dogs because he secretly "desires" the electric rabbit and fights the dogs on her behalf. In the end, Bugs kisses the rabbit and gets shocked.

And then he goes back in and doubles down on the shocks....

Several years ago I visited my cousin in Florida. Her neighbors were big into dog racing. They took us one night and we did not enjoy it one bit.

It is possible. This topic got my curiosity going so down the rabbit hole I go. Turns out there is a doberman named Thor that has been verified in competitions running 34.89 mph.
